Much improved
I have purchased this product previously and enjoyed it. The last time I received it both packages were dry and inedible. The company reached out and sent me fresh packages of jerky. These were so much better, and I greatly appreciated having the opportunity to come back and write a better review. Thank you!

Texture is similar to cardboard
I'm a vegetarian and am experimenting with vegan jerky. Of all my experimentations... This is by far the worst. It could be amazing if its texture wasn't that of a cardboard box. The flavor is... Ok... But the texture of it makes it inedible. Don't buy this product unless you enjoy eating cardboard

Softer than expected
The taste is good. Satisfies my need for protein in my diet. The texture is different than the ‘jerky’ that I am used to eating because it has soft pieces

One of two actually GOOD brands of vegan jerky
First off, let me say I haven't always been vegan, I know what "real" (meat) jerky tastes like and it's actually something I moderately enjoyed at one point. I certainly could recognize the difference between good and mediocre jerky, and I certainly still can. I've tried a lot of vegan varieties of jerky, and while I a total goblin and will find my way through any but the most truly repulsive foods, I also can say that, of the many, many dried savory attempts at jerky I have had, most (especially the mushroom ones) stand out more for what they fail to achieve than what they succeed in achieving. So far, among far too many entries that mostly range from "just okay" all the way down to "ahem, erm, give me a minute", only two brands stand out as truly successful. It's no surprise that one of these brands is from Texas (also no surprise that the other is from Carolina).Personally, it's obvious these people know how to make jerky. This runs slightly but appropriately dry, it's not overly soft without being borderline brittle or making you wonder if you bought a dog toy instead of a snack. The flavor is solidly there without being overwhelming or having regrettable overtones or aftertaste. It's also not flaky, or overly bready, or committing any other atrocities. More importantly, it's actually good, well seasoned, nicely balanced, and an excellent snack, so long as you don't let your kids eat all of it before you get a piece (but fortunately there's enough in a bag that everyone can probably have a few pieces, or one person can get a very decent portion). In short, it's as good as or better than any fairly commercial jerky I've had, vegan or not.And did I mention the cats were interested? That's how you know it's not bunk. :)

5x ordered less than 3 months
About to order my 6th order! I haven't had meat in over 20 yrs. But I do remember luving beef jerky. Sweetie this vegan brand of jerky will have all your mula gone. Soft, tender, moist and very flavorful. They have other flavors but I'll stick with my normal one. So good I had to tag them on the gram!

Quality Inconsistent
The first time I bought this it was pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect but I really liked the flavor. The second time I bought it I bought more bags because I liked it the first time, but this time they were so dry they were borderline inedible. Very unlikely to buy again because they are over priced for something you won't know whether you will be able to eat it or not.I added a picture I took from the first batch compared to a picture I took from the second batch to illustrate the inconsistency.
