I purchased this magnet set for my son who at the time was just shy of 1 year old. They are made of durable wood with the image on the front and regular magnet on the back. They vary in size, so as he was smaller, I hid the smallest of the magnets out of his reach higher up on the fridge, while many of the magnets were oversized and better for his age lower to the ground. They have stood up to time, being that since we have been using them, he has plucked them off the fridge, bit and chewed all over them, beat them off the fridge and floor, and they are still holding their shape and design. No bitemarks, no pealed decals or anything from the front. I trust Melissa and Doug products and this lives up to their standards. I would recommend this for anyone with little ones who love to play with magnets as a way to introduce them to characters and names. You'll love watching them walk over to fridge picking one off and bringing it back to you time and time again. Great product!

These magnets are adorable. They are wood and hold up decently to toddler play. They are a good size and thickness. Perfect to play on the fridge or magnet board. Great value for money I just wish the box it came in had a lid or was able to be used for storage.

These magnets are adorable and my child loves them! They are made of a thin wood and could break easily if stepped on. They are bigger than I originally thought but the size is perfect. These are so much fun for my toddler!

The magnetics have been thrown and dropped several times and they're holding up well. The magnetic part works well and covers the full magnetic so it's very durable. The picture quality is great!
