Great potatoe peeler!
This is the best potatoes peeler! I cook allot and my family are big potatoe eaters. I also use to cook for a church on Wednesday. 50-75 people. So I've peeled many potatoes. I know a good peeler, and this one works great.

My wife bought one of these at a flea market years ago and loved it. She said it was the BEST VEGETABLE PEELER ON THE PLANET. Simple design, easy to use, does the job quickly and even after years of use, somehow the blade stayed amazingly sharp. Sadly, she somehow lost it. I went on-line and found this one that is identical to the one that was lost. I bought (5) of these, (2) for my wife (one for backup) and (3) for stocking stuffers at Christmas time. Definitely pleased with this product. I would definitely recommend this to a friend without hesitation. Excellent product.

NOT the Swiss Quality of Your Dreams!
There are suspiciously similar-looking "Swiss" vegetable peelers on Amazon for $1.99 ( Swiss Rex Vegetable Peeler ), and I wouldn't have felt nearly as ripped off if I'd only paid two bucks for this flimsy piece of junk. At $7.39, it's not worth the bother to send back, so it went straight into the trash instead. As one recent reviewer noted, it's not even remotely sharp (or tough) enough to handle something like winter squash. But what's worse, the blade popped right out of the thin pot-metal (doesn't LOOK like stainless) frame the very first time I tried to use it! On a carrot! This thing is cheesier than the worst Chinese-made junk. With all the other happy write-ups, maybe there has been a recent screw-up in the warehouse and somebody substituted the two-buck wonders for the ones costing over three times as much. At $1.99, I would have figured I got what I paid for when the thing fell apart the first time I tried to use it. But apparently I was dreaming if I thought I was going to get the tough, high quality, rust-free, super-sharp Swiss vegetable peeler of my dreams for under twenty bucks. There's another one on Amazon that MIGHT be the real, professional quality tool I THOUGHT I was ordering--again, virtually identical design--but it's $21+change. So I think instead I am going to walk into Sur la Table or Williams-Sonoma and get my hands on one before I take another chance on "bargain" (ah-hem!) kitchen gear at Amazon. I recently had a very similar experience with a $20 knife that was supposed to be the cat's P.J.'s. Sure, you get what you pay for, but it wasn't worth twenty bucks, either. Maybe five.I think I've learned my lesson. It's not only a waste of time but a real buzz-kill to try to go cheap on tools that SHOULD be made to stick around for a lifetime.

Actually does peel a butternut squash.
Couldn't be happier with receiving this peeler for Christmas. I love making butternut squash bisque, but really hate all the effort needed to cut through a raw squash, even with a sharp knife. This peeler makes the job a lot easier. It's also fairly easy to peel narrower items, such as carrots, simply by laying them down on a cutting board and going at it.My one concern is that there seems to be a bit of galvanic corrosion (i.e. rust where two metals meet) between the blade and the body. It seems like that can be solved by washing and quickly drying though. Not enough to knock off a star, especially since I can have soup much more often now.

very easy to slice off a bit of your hand
Very sharp, very fast, very easy to slice off a bit of your hand. Excellent peeler but withheld one star since I've nicked off parts of my thumbnail more than once. Takes a little getting used to only because you must peel sideways and not away from your hand. Still my 'go-to' peeler.

Best peeler Iโve owned. On my 3rd one
Why 3? These are seriously the sharpest and nicest peelerโs Iโve ever owned. I originally bought several- but like all things in my house- theyโve been absconded by someone else. I had to buy more. They stay sharp, are a breeze to use, but you must use care or they will rust.

In its own class...I know why it made Joe Ades a millionaire.
This NOT like every other peeler you have ever owned. It is NOT the same quality as the peeler you buy in the grocery store. Even though the price might be close this peeler is sharper, much easier to use and is in a class by itself. It effortlessly peels carrots, potatoes, beets...you name it. Its hard to believe this has become a favorite toll in my kitchen. Get it.

This isn't the peeler you bought at a fair years ago......
I bought a peeler similar to this at a county fair years ago. And 3 mos ago, it finally gave up the ghost. The blade fell off (worn out at the attachment) So, I went on line to replace it. I thought I had by buying the Monaco Swiss one. Don't waste your money. The blade does not swivel well. It almost seems to work backwards. I could only hold it one one side. The potatoe eye remover will work, but you have to apply a lot of pressure to get it to work. It does not peel well. My old one used to glide across potatoes, carrots, hubbard squash etc. This one will not peel a stupid potato. It will, eventually but it took me about 5 minutes, and left a wicked mess of little itty bitty peels. Carrots about the same, with carrot juice all over the place. I have never had such a time peeling !!! Don't buy this piece of crap.

I love this peeler
I love this peeler. It is sharp and peels so smooth and thin. I love the little side blade. It works great for the eyes on potatoes. I have had one for about 15 years and I lost it so I was excited to find this one to replace it. The price was so good that I bought 2. The delivery was as scheduled.

Bad quality
Both of them broke in a week, cheap quality

Cheated, product is not as described
Feel cheated, it's not a carbon steel blade, it's a steel blade, they did black colour on steel blade, its losing its colour on day 3 itself, it does not work in reverse directionCan't even return as they will deduct import duty which is almost of the product priceBad experience
