I've been sporting a beard for a couple years now and people often get me beard products for birthdays, holidays, etc. On the whole, they have been decent products with some good scents, but nothing, even some of the best sellers I've received, have made a lasting impression on my beard. The scent would fade and I would be back where I started.This Benevolent Beard Oil I got was immediately different. From the first application, my beard was tamer with less strays. It sits a lot neater, even when I went a day without using it. And after 3 days, I really noticed how soft it became. My girlfriend was the first to notice, and apparently it's quite an improvement! The ends don't scratch me or her any more. It's a pleasure to see and feel. It's clear that this product has some ingredients others lack. I am immediately sold on this product! The Refined scent is very pleasant. It's a serious herbal smell off the bat, that gives way to a subtle sweetness. It is not overtly fragrant and you can only smell it up close. Perfect for this kind of product. Once I use up this bottle I'm looking forward to trying the Woodsy one next!

My boyfriend had been using my Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil on his beard for lack of something better, so for Christmas I decided to buy him this Benevolent Beard Oil. I got the unscented because I was afraid of something with a strong unpleasant scent so close to his nose. I'm sure this is a great product, but he wasn't super impressed. The oil feels smooth, so that's a plus. I wish I had gotten a scent, but it's hard to know what it's going to actually smell like until you get it. But my boyfriend actually continued to use the Matrix oil and we bought more of that.

Don't see any difference in the look of my short beard. Hard to get the drops out of the bottle.

To start off I received my product a day early. Before using the oil I was using actual lotion for the skin and I can totally notice the difference after using the oil for a little less than a week now. I shower, condition my beard and then pat it dry with a towel. Once dried I apply maybe 3 drops only because from 0 to Duck Dynasty im only at a 3.5 (conservatively).Love the smell, not too strong. It smells like pine and a hint of a some type of wood, exactly what a mans beard is supposed to smell like. Its not an overwhelming smell. Gives the beard the perfect moisture so its not all dry and scraggly. All in all, great product, love the smell, will definitely order and stock up on all of Benevolent's oils.

I enjoy the product. I ordered both the Woodsy & the Refined scent. My only wish was that the scent/s were stronger and lasted longer as some have intimated here. You should consider making a cologne for those who want a little extra scent to last for the day. Otherwise, a very fine bead oil.

The oil smells great, and makes your beard a bit smoother, but it must be used regularly to see any real improvement. I have somewhat sensitive skin, but not terribly, and it seems to make me break out if I use it more than a few days in a row, which defeats the purpose for me.There is no dropper on the cap, so you literally just pour the oil out of the bottle, which can be messy at times and should really be fixed. The cap also leaks no matter how hard you twist it on, so I poured it into a different container.

Absolutely love this beard oil! I have used other beard oils and I have to say this one really seems to do more for my beard. The oils in this one seem to actually soften my beard for the entire day. Unlike others that only seem to last for about 30 min. I have to say the only trade off is that it does leave my hands a tad oily for a minute after applying, but doesn't make my beard feel oily. The smell of this one is perfect! Its exactly what I would have picked if I had been able to do my own custom smell! I keep several bottles of different scents at my desk and many of my coworkers continually stop by to get some. I highly recommend this beard oil!

I've never used beard products before. Normally, I just shampoo & condition in the shower. But I saw a Facebook coupon to buy it here on Amazon, and I'd heard good things about beard oil in general on Reddit.I bought the Woodsy scent, and use about 6 drops every morning (even though it's oil, it doesn't spread very well; applied from the tips of my fingers, not my palms like the instructions say) for a short beard that I keep at about a #6 guard on my electric trimmer.The smell is nice, but lasts for maybe 5 minutes. I've noticed it makes the blond hairs a little more shiny, and the rest of my beard easier to comb overall. I can't really say if it's softer, but it feels as soft as when I use conditioner in the shower, so I guess it works in that regard.Overall, I wasn't blown away, but maybe that's because my beard is pretty short. It is a nice product, some of the proceeds go to charity, and I got it on sale. Not much bad I can say about that.
