Just a little off on the fit; function is fine, and a value at this price.

I was originally going to buy the Canon version of this lens hood, but the JCC is about a third of the price. It fits perfectly on my Canon 75-300mm f4-5.6 III telephoto zoom lens. I've tried screw on types but found those frustrating to put on. Plus with the screw ons you can't reverse the hood or put the lens cap on. This JCC twists on like the Canon hoods, it is reversible for easy storage, and you can attach the lens cap. I found it easy to attach and remove, yet it remains securely in place. I bought the Canon EW-60C lens hood for my 18-55mm kit lens and find it little more difficult to remove. I need a little extra care in removing it because I'm afraid I'll crack it. But not so with the JCC, it's very easy to handle. I saw one review criticizing that you couldn't add filters with the lens hood. While that is true, I found that even with Canon hood I couldn't add any filters. In fact, not of the lens hoods allow that, so don't let that be a game changer. This lens hoods works great and you can't beat the price!

Great piece to block the sun out

If a person has a lens which allows the front bayonet and filter threads to rotate during focus ans/or zoom, be sure to get this type. Scalloped or petals will not be good.

Perfect fit. Just what I needed. Being able to flip it around for storage is a major plus since my camera case is out of room. Seems to be tough enough for a shade. I'm happy.

I am new to photography so I dont blame the product but I was expecting a good to work with my EF-S 55-250 mm f/4-5.6 IS STM which is a later model than the EF-S 55-250 mm f/4-5.6 IS II & EF-S 55-250 mm f/4-5.6 IS. However it does fit the stock lense I have with my Canon rebel t7's EFS 18-55 mm lense. It would be nice if you made a lense compatible with the EF-S 55-250 mm f/4-5.6 IS STM than I would buy another. Best Regards :)

This work great. It fit perfectly, and it easy to put on and take off. It is a nice cheap hood. I wood have liked if it was a tad thicker, and had a more matt finish inside, but for the price I can't complain. I Would recommend.
