A fitting Finale to a magical series
Just finished Part 3 of Caraval by the name of Finale, and it was everything I wanted it to be and more.Scarlett, Julian, Tella, and Legend are joined by a host of new characters who are by their very nature Fates, and unless they stop them, the vilest Fate of all is going to ascend the throne. What follows is a tense but fun story with magic and mystery thrown in.I recommend the Caraval Trilogy with my whole heart for its pure escapism, action, magic, and romance. An absolute must read.

What an incredible end to the series
What an ending to an incredible series. This book picks up straight from book 2, leaving no time to get straight into the action which just suits this book so much.We follow both Scarlett and Tella as they're dealing with the new antagonists of the book as well as dealing with their current romantic situations. I found myself almost skimming Scarlett's chapters because I was too invested in Tella's part of the story but that's not to say Scarlett's pov isn't good. Just that Tella's were more action filled which is something I gravitate towards in books.I also loved the interactions with Tella and her romantic interest. The changes and revelations at the end of book 2 gave them a lot of challenges to overcome in book 3 and I think it was so beautifully done that I wasn't left with any feelings of 'no this should have happened instead!'The new characters are also certainly memorable and left me desperate to read the spin off series, Once Upon a Broken Heart •This book felt bittersweet because it was so good and I couldn't stop reading it but I also didn't want to finish the series. The world of Caraval truly is unlike anything I've ever read before and I know in the future this is a series I will come back to. I honestly think this book series has a bit for everyone so if any of this sounds like something you'd read, you should give it a go. You won't regret it

An Addictive, Magical Finale — Best in the Series!
Stars: 5/5Spice Level: 1/5I started reading this book hoping to dive deeper into Tella and Legend’s story. I was pleasantly surprised to see Scarlett had her own chapters—this meant we’d get more of Scarlett and Julian’s story too. I expected their storyline to be a bit slower and calmer… but the twists. Oh, the twistsssss.I was not expecting the surprises this book delivered. From the Fates to the mystery surrounding Tella and Scarlett’s mother, to Scarlett being kidnapped by a Fate—every chapter kept me on edge. And the relationships? The love triangles? They had me shocked and fully invested.I genuinely couldn’t put this book down.I will admit, I was a little disappointed with how little story time Paradise/Paloma received. I would have loved more moments with her and her daughters, but I understand why keeping some mystery around her was important for the plot.Out of the entire Caraval series, this is my absolute favorite. Honestly, I didn’t think it could get any better—but it did.The descriptions in this book were next level. The way emotions and feelings were portrayed had me deeply connecting to each character.Line that stood out:“Then she’d fallen in love with him, and it had been like drinking magic – indescribable, all-consuming and fantastically addictive.”

So much better than Legendary
I STRUGGLED with Legendary. Borderline DNF but this one I flew threw. It's fast paced with a good combination of action and romance. The major flaw for me was due to how short the final act was and felt a little rushed.Overall it was a decent conclusion to a fun and light series of books

Finale Book 3
Fun easy read. Rich imagination. Some twists and unexpected scenes. A bit darker and more bloody then the first two books. Few things I would have liked explored more that might have made the story richer instead of having to read the repeating thoughts of characters over and over but in different words. Not my favourite of the 3 books, I preferred the theme of Caraval games, but still enjoyed it.
