My one dog is diabetic so I've been trying to find diabetic treats that don't cost a fortune. I bought the 3-pack which is a great buy compared to some I've looked at over the last few months. Since both dogs like them, I just ordered them again.

affordable as mosst diabetic treats are expensive
I get them for my diabetic dog. he could not understand why he could not have his usual treats when he was diagnosed. Now when he gets his shots he waits for his "Ellas" and just loves them. My vet approved of them also.

The best diabetic dog treats
These are the best dog treats for my diabetic dog My vet says my dog is doing great and he eats 5 of these treats a day !!! He loves them and so do I

These are rock hard. I couldn't break them up with a garbage disposal.
They even come with an insert suggesting to soak them in water to soften them if necessary, implying they know about how hard they are! Look elsewhere for diabetic treats, like some dehydrated meat or look up how to make your own. These are just rocks and could be a choking hazard too, not to mention how much damage they would do to gums.

Too hard!
I bought these for my small dogs to increase the fiber in their diet for anal gland issues, and for that they are good. However they are way too hard and thick, I would think a dog would have to be at least 40 - 50 pounds to chew these easily (my dogs are 3 and six pounds). But since they seem to be good for making their poop bigger, I break them up (not at all easy) and soak them in water for 15 minutes before feeding.
