Read this!! I did my homework on all diffuser options
I did an awful lot of product research & comparing before buying this mist diffuser and, having had it a couple of weeks now i feel i am very well placed to review it.This product is super easy to set up and the mist it generates (literally from the second it gets turned on) will be sufficient for any standard room.As it doesnt come with essential oils i bought my own and the machine seems to deal with them perfectly, offering a pleasant smell that slowly washes over the whole space. The motor inside makes some noise but i never actually hear it during the day. I hear it in the silence of night though. Even then the noise of the motor is somewhat drowned out by the noise of the water inside the unit (sounds like a tiny water fountain, which i think is relaxing in itself). However if you require absolute silence then this may not be the one for you... good luck finding a quieter one. This is a stylish piece of kit & is very much to my taste. Thats the reason i went for it in the first place... i was initially looking at the 500ml diffuser from Asakuki but it just didnt do it for me. I thought it looked a bit cheap and tacky, but the 700ml cube design is modern & compact for much the same price. No brainer. The colours are nice & peaceful. Literally the only flaw is the scrolling colour setting changes colour slightly too fast for my liking. That is me being very pedantic and actively looking for flaws though. Remember, there's the option to choose an array of different colours so this is a problem that can simply be sidestepped. All in all i am very pleased with this product and i would highly recommend it to everyone. There are many option out there so if you like this product design i can confirm that it works excellently. I did my research before buying and it 100% paid off.If any issues appear i will come back and add them to this review but at the point of reviewing there were no problems.

Excellent value, really easy to use and does the job very well!
This is an ultrasonic humidifier of 700-mL volume. I bought one, loved it so much that I immediately bought another - I have one in the white wood-effect trim and one in the brown. It is a square plastic box with a socket in the base for the supplier mains transformer to be connected. A pointless tiny measuring jug is also provided that holds like 100mL - you need a big jug to fill this! The item is compactly packaged with the transformer and jug stored inside of it, along with the instructions. There is some bubble-wrap involved but the outer box is recyclable at least, which is good. I have only used this product in an extremely soft-water area (under 3 degrees Clark) - in hard-water areas you will get scale over time and you may see white deposits on nearby furniture as ultrasonic humidifiers aerosolise anything dissolved in the water. If you’re a lazy slattern who hates cleaning (like me) and are in a hard water area, a heated humidifier may suit you more. You can descale this by adding 100mL distilled malt vinegar (“white vinegar”), or white non-brewed condiment, come to that, to the main chamber. Run the humidifier for about 5 seconds just to make sure the vinegar has properly wetter the disc (not longer, it will stink!). Wait for about 10-30 min, drain (you can re-use the vinegar for descaling other things or on windows for quite some uses, don’t throw it away, but don’t eat it either!) and rinse MANY times, lest your house smell like a chip shop!I can’t really comment on product longevity but I’ve a very similar 400-mL product by another brand (I suspect these are all white-label humidifiers that different companies put their names onto, or are private-labelled as many brands sell near-identical products) that I have had in use daily for 2 years and it’s still going strong! The “guts” of how this works are that an ultrasonic ceramic disc in the base of the main chamber vibrates and thus causes the surface of the water body therein to churn and move up and down, generating an aerosol of water in the form of a cold mist. A fan in the base of the unit draws air up and through the chamber, blowing the mist out of the hole in the lid. If you add any essential oils to the water, they are aerosolised also (more on that below). If you do, the water will look milky if you look inside during/after use - that is totally normal - the ultrasonics disperse the oil as a fine emulsion during use.To use this humidifier you literally fill it to the indicated line with water and press the power button (the instructions tell you which button is which!) - that is sufficient for most uses as it gives you the LEDs inside cycling through colours, an infinite run time (well, it will cut out the moment the water runs out of course!) and the more powerful of the two humidity settings. You can change it to fix runs of 1, 3 or 6 hours, you can set it on a fixed LED colour (or turn the lights off completely) or turn it onto a lower humidity setting. I only really use the higher humidity setting and I am finding 700mL water lasts about 6h before I need to refill it. I may move to the lower setting at night as the fan is a bit quieter, of course, but the sound of the water splashing about is still the same.To fragrance the room, one can add plant essential oils to the water - for most oils, a total of about 10 drops (about 0.5 mL) is sufficient for a 6 hour run. If the oil is marked “blended” (meaning it is a weak solution of the essential oil in an unscented carrier such as sweet almond oil), you will need a lot more. Obviously you can mix a few oils together, it doesn’t have to be a single one. Be aware that some essential oils are really bad for asthmatics, and are even worse when atomised in this way - make sure you fully understand what you are adding to the water! Do not use home fragrance products as they contain solvents etc that one would not want to inhale as tiny direct droplets! The cold mist emitted is very visible and shoots about a foot into the air on the “high” setting. The precise level of visibility will change if the temperature or humidity of the room vary. I’ve monitored the use of a single one of these using a hygrometer and my bedroom room at 22*C has a normal relative humidity of about 25-30% - I can get it to 55-75% with a single one of these - the room is pretty small - maybe 10’ by 10’. I’ve felt my hayfever and asthma improve as a result. I’ve had no issues at all with the auto-cut-out not kicking in when the water runs out - it may look like some is still left when you go to refill it, that is normal - it hasn’t cut out mysteriously early or anything! The LED cycling is nice-but-so-what, really - I have it on as I cba to turn it off every time, but it doesn’t bother me either way, but I do turn it off at night.
