Got my son this dinosaur encyclopaedia for his 4th birthday and he loves it we go through it together and he’s always looking and wanting to know. Brilliant for curious minds !

My son is what you'd call a reluctant reader. The thought of having to read one of the school books left him complaining and protesting.I bought this book to feed his interest in dinosaurs and its brilliant. He now carries the book to school and reads it instead of the less interesting books. He even reads the long dinosaur names really well.I have since bought the Oceans and Animals books for him to keep the love of books going.There is so much information in these books and really well presented for all ages.

If you have a child interested in dinosaurs Then this is the book for them, well illustrated and set out in an easy to understand text makes this a first class read

This is the 5th time I've bought this book, I've now bought it for all of my grandchildren and they really love it.It's full of useful info, fantastic colourful pictures, and what is really great for the kids is for them to be able to see the scale of a dinosaur against a person. Each dinosaur has a small silhouette of the dinosaur next to a person showing the scale, it really does amaze them to see just how massive some of them are but how small others were, these are great educational books that will be a favourite for years.

As the title says, you can always trust a DK book.Bought for my dino mad 4 years old. I was fed up with "reading" a dino poster before bed, so I got this instead.It is obviously aimed at older children but there is plenty to talk about the really good pictures and artist's impressions. It'll lasts us a while.

Bought this book for our son as he loves these sort of books. He hasn’t put it down and has already read it few times. Plenty of information and pictures. Great buy

Dorlong Kindersley books are consistently excellent. Each volume of this series is a real treasure for a child for many years.

Bought this for my two sons, age 5 and 8. They are big into Dinosaurs at the moment and they love this book. Stuffed full of brilliant facts and a huge range of Dinos. Highly recommend.

True to DK books, this has lots of really good drawings and diagrams. Has a nice section about amber and fossils and dino-science section on top of the major dinosaur types from the progressing timeline. Not hugely complete, but relatively well done overview. Would have liked more graphics of the timeline up front and stuff like major extinction events at end of each period.
