PowerStop Z23 Performance Brake Pad & Rotor Kit Front & Rear K2798

I bought this PowerStop Z23 front and rear brake kit for a Jeep Wrangler because I wanted to replace everything together instead of mixing old rotors with new pads. The kit feels like a complete upgrade, with drilled and slotted rotors plus the carbon fiber ceramic pads. Braking feels smooth and confident, and I like knowing the front and rear were done at the same time with matching components. The rotors also look great behind the wheels. It is one of those upgrades that is functional but still gives the Jeep a cleaner performance look. Installation is straightforward if you are comfortable doing brake work, although this is definitely one of those jobs where I measure twice, check everything three times, and then check it one more time because brakes are not the place for creativity. 😂 Overall, a solid complete brake package and a great choice for refreshing the braking system on a compatible Wrangler.

Took a LONG time to arrive, around a month, but I also live in Hawaii so I understand shipping. The hardest part of installing these was removing the old rotors. 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK. Everything fit nicely and all hardware was provided, including brake grease and shoe clips. Can't speak to the brake grease though, I stuck to the trusty CRC. I've only driven with them for about four weeks so the review is limited, but. Brakes perform pretty good based on bedding and the few quick stops I've made with them. There has been ZERO noise. A little bit of brake dust but that's to be expected with bedding. They seem good quality and they feel excellent quality. Braking used to feel like I was driving over speed bumps but these are so smooth it's hard to imagine not having them. Highly recommend. They were very well priced, included all the consumables needed for the job, and feel great in braking.

great brakes great deal. it came with all the hardware you need they are quite forward and backwards i mean no noise at all they stop great and even on the trails going down long hills they do not fade drive hard all day and they still feel firm.

I received the front & rear brakes and rotators as promised and everything was correct. Installation went smoothly other than getting my old parts off due to rust. The only issue I had was that the new rotors appear to be slightly deeper than the stock rotors and intermittently rubbed against the sheet metal guard behind the rotors. When it rubbed, it was very noisy. It was a simple process to remove the rotors and bend the guard back slightly to prevent the rubbing. Just a heads up to make sure the rotor doesn't rub against the guard when installing. Performance is better than the stock equipment and I am very happy with the results. I would recommend these brakes and rotors to other Jeep owners looking to improve braking capability.

I bought these for my 2010 Jeep JKU. Wasn't sure what to expect being the price is so cheap, but after opening the boxes and seeing everything, it is very nice stuff!! Seems to be real high quality and pretty heavy duty. Maybe because mine are shot, but I am very happy I got these. Each rotor is labelled nicely saying "rear drivers side" or front passenger side". The break pads come in a little vacuum sealed package with all of the clips/hardware to put them on. One thing it didn't have was the brake grease for the back of the pads, but that's no biggie. All in all, I am VERY happy with these, what a sweet product and great quality finish. Only thing i was very disappointed in (in case you need them fast like I did) was Amazon shipping. I ordered early in the day and asked for overnight because I needed them asap, and it was promised/guaranteed. Well, that didn't happen. Standard overnight turned out to be 2 day shipping. When I contacted support to say I didn't see them ship and ask where they were, I was told to understand with high volume and now using the postal service there was a delay and how sorry they were. Apology not accepted. Second time I ordered automotive items to be overnight-ed and got screwed. I don't get that because it was sent FedEx and had nothing to do with the postal service. So I got the shipping refunded. Other than that I would highly recommend this product. Very very nice stuff!

This brake kit was easy to install and offers a nice improvement over OEM brakes. Being ceramic, they’re a little noisier than OEM but I enjoy not having to clean the brake dust off my wheels now.

These seem pretty good for the money. Since installing, I’ve done a lot of mountain driving with steep, fast switchbacks and I’ve had no issues and no brake fade coming down (but I also drive manual, so I probably don’t ride the brakes as much as some). The combo of the rotors and pads definitely seem like an upgrade over the OEM style brake parts that I’ve used previously, and stopping power does seem improved. Just be aware that there is a proper break-in procedure and that you may not be able to do it easily in an urban environment (involves a lot of getting up to speed and then stopping at specific intervals and with varying pedal pressure). I love that the kit came with new caliper pin boots too. It also came with some packets of brake grease, but I went ahead and grabbed a tube of ceramic-compatible lube so that I wouldn’t have to worry about rationing it out.

Just bought my 2012 JKU and after a few weeks started hearing squeaking from back left. Old rotor had pad grooves and was needing replacement so for the money on OEM or these powerstops the choice wasn't hard... few beers and some time to go through all 4 brakes, the installation went smooth. Took Wrangler out and did the break in of pads as suggested and figured I'd wait to do review till after road trip to Silverthorne CO... what better way to test brakes going through the mountains! Just got back and the brakes/pads worked great!! Will definitely buy again whenever they are needed! Did notice some brake fade at first but once pads and rotors got seated in they stop great! Thank you! Dec 2nd Update: just wanted to add an update- Brakes and pads still smooth and stop my Jeep like a champ. No surface rust or any issues! Best brake package I have ever bought/used!

Brakes fit perfectly with all the hardware and caliper boots. Proper break in instructions. Great set of brakes

did the installation myself for my Jeep Wrangler, and they are working great. much better improvement than the original oem. i would highly recommend this product for anyone.

Was excited to install these after the great reviews, made absolutely zero difference in my braking ability and they are noisy when wet, not an upgrade at all
