Armour of God [Blu-ray]

This Fortune Star bluray release of Armour Of God is definitely great. Picture quality is very good, though it's an obvious upscale. English subtitles are available as the audio is Chinese, and those subtitles will give you a chuckle at the occasional bad grammer.If you've never seen it, Armour Of God is highly recommended. It's one of Jackie Chan's best movies from the 80s. Jackie plays "Asian Hawk", a former rockstar turned modern-day Indiana Jones type explorer who is in a battle against an evil cult that worship a snake god, deal in opiates and cocaine, commit violent acts of murder, kidnap people and indulge in prostitutes... Yikes! Have no fear though, Jackie beats 'em up.My only gripe is that this release has an Alan Tam song play over the ending instead of Jackie Chan's infamous tune Flight Of The Dragon which can be found on other versions. Not a deal breaker though.Get this version and stay FAR away from the US cut, which is erroneously titled Operation Condor 2 (fun fact- Operation Condor is actually the sequel to this, not the other way around).

Finally uncut jackie Chan blu ray I can watch on my region free player. Any movie that Chan directs should be a must have.

If you are a Jackie Chan fan then this is one of his better films. Whilst a little violent in parts, also very funny and worth.

Good movie.never boring to watch several times.

J. Chan interpreta una specie di Indiana Jones, che deve recuperare i vari pezzi della mitica armatura di Dio per poter salvare un'amica della quale è innamorato che è stata rapita. Dal punto di vista delle scene più spettacolari da ricordare la fuga iniziale inseguito da una feroce tribù africana ed i combattimenti finali: nella sala mensa di una specie di convento di finti frati e quello contro 4 lottatrici di colore.

ch muss wirklich mal eine Lanze für diesen Film brechen, weil ich die Negativmeinungen nicht nachvollziehen kann. Wirklich das einzigste, was ich bei diesem Film etwas mau finde ist, dass man dem Bild sein Alter ansieht.Ansonsten hat man hier einen richtig flotten, immer unterhaltsamen, mit toller Action und Fantasie vollgestopften Abenteuerfilm.Der Film beginnt, wie z.B. jeder gute James Bond-Film mit einer rasanten, actiongeladenen Sequenz, allerdings mit einem guten Schuss Indiana Jones. Ähnlich wie "Indiana Jones und der Tempel des Todes", angefangen von der Schießerei im Club Obi Wan, bis zum Sturz aus dem Flugzeug, folgt auch hier eine Actionsequenz der nächsten. Mit Bond und Indy gemeinsam hat der Film die weltweiten Schauplätze. Vom Anfang in Afrika geht es hier nach Österreich u.a. in die wunderschöne Schlossanlage Schönbrunn.Wenn die Schauspieler übrigens zwischendurch mal in kanosesisch sprechen, nicht wundern, dann ist nicht der DVD-Player kaputt, sondern es wurden damals nicht verwendete Szenen in den Film eingefügt. Doch es schadet nicht wirklich, man verliert auch hier nicht den Handlungsfaden.Mit im Reisegepäck bei diesem Film, in dem Jackie auf der Suche nach Stücken einer uralten Rüstung ist, sind ganz viel Humor, ein flotter Soundtrack und rasante, halsbrecherische Actionszenen und Stunts, die das ruhige Österreich ganz schön durcheinander wirbeln und auch heute noch in jedem Film überzeugen und beeindruckend wirken würden.Das zieht sich gekonnt durch den nie langweiligen Film, bis zu einem Finale in einem Kloster, was wieder ein Touch "Indiana Jones"-Action ist, bevor der Film mit einem rasanten Stunt ala Bond abschließt
