To my great disappointment, this basket is natural, biodegradable carbon-neutral sea grass woven with white plastic! The description states that the basket is seagrass. It is only half seagrass. I expected the white strands to be painted or whitewashed seagrass as well. And the plastic is a little shiny. However, it does look O.K. in my house. What I wanted was a biodegradable basket that would hold, at times, extra groceries so that I wouldn't have to go to the supermarket as often during this pandemic. Over time, a natural basket would break down, get too dusty to clean, etc, and, at that point, I wouldn't feel too bad about throwing it out, composting it, or burning it with other fuel. Half of this basket, however, will be in the environment for thousands of years...all for me to store extra bread flour and potatoes for a year or two. I'd send it back, but I think the ecological impact of repackaging, shipping, them repackaging and sending to someone else, would be about as bad as me just keeping it. So, I'll keep it, but I won't buy another one. And, I won't buy any other brand of seagrass basket that has white strands, for fear of getting a 1/2 plastic basket. The description needs to say "seagrass and plastic".

Not a bad little belly basket. My snake plant looks pretty snazzy in it, and the 10in pot I used fits, but the lip of it is quite snug to get past the opening (I ordered the large size basket). Handles seem sturdy enough to lift and carry, even when the soil is wet and heavy. Right out of the box, the shape was fine. It seems like even if it was squished, it would be easy to re-align it. My only minor beef with it is that the white part of the weave is actually plastic, not seagrass. Kind of takes away from the "natural" vibe, but it still looks fine. Overall I'm pretty happy with the price/value/quality of it.

The media could not be loaded.  I don’t, like, totally hate it. It looked like from the pics that the black would be seagrass (even though I’d read that the white is plastic.) similar to the white, this one is also a seagrass/plastic combo.It’s not really all that bad, but… idk. Why plastic? Is it at least a recycling thing? That should be a selling point if it is. If not, well, stop making more plastic. Shrug.

Product is very nice but the description states that it is 100% seagrass, this is not accurate. The white part is some kind of plastic. If you are looking for all natural, this is not the product for you. A little disappointed as I would not have ordered if I had known about the plastic. But overall it’s very nice and the price was good.

Bought two to use in home with my artificial plants. One item came with a sealed plastic. It had stains and dirt. The other was in plastic bag but still some dirt or food showing. Item straws were twisted and look a little damaged. Return ING instantly!

Absolutely beautiful and a perfect fit for my 10-inch plants. Definitely need to get a protector for the bottom of the pot so it does not leak into the straw. Basket is beautiful and well-made

I was skeptical about this plant basket, but as soon as I opened it up I was in love! It is very well made. Truly a beautiful piece. I ordered the large, and my plant is currently in a 9" pot. It fits perfectly. You could probably fit a 10-11" pot as well, just know that it may require some stretching and shimmying to get the edges around the planter.

So Worth it! I put my Dragon Tree in the Basket by the door in our Lobby, it looks great and i kept it in my nursery pot, also got a plastic saucer to catch the water, its so easy and simple! And it brings everything together! Definitely going to buy a few more. Such a great purchase!
