Because of its unique layout, this Bible is an excellent resource for students, pastors, and Bible readers of any age. Features: New International Version (NIV) is the worldโs bestselling modern-English Bible translationโaccurate, readable, and clear, yet rich with the detail found in the original languages King James Version is a classic Bible translation that has been loved by Christians throughout the centuries for its beauty, trustworthiness, and timeless expression of Godโs word Foreword from one of Americaโs best known and beloved Bible teachers, Charles Stanley and his son, pastor and communicator, Andy Stanley Double-column format that allows both translations to be side-by-side on each page 10-point type size Review: Details of the Bible - This Bible explains a lot when the Bible confuses a person. It explains it in a way that helps you understand the Bible more. Review: Appreciated Gift - My step-daughter has started attending church (we're over joyed). The church she attends reads from KJV. It was hard for her to understand. We told her the NIV version of bible would be easier for her. I set out to find a bible that combined both. This bible was perfect. The print isn't what I consider large print but she's young and read it just fine :) I also purchased labels to make it easier for her find each book of bible. I thought about purchasing the tri-fold case but it only comes in black. When she opened the box, she was over whelmed. She is so pleased with her new bible.

Nice Bible. Love the original KJV but if unclear see next column of NIV for clarification.
Love it. KJV has beautiful language but it is not always clear to me about verse meaning. I never heard of parallel Bible's until a friend told me. Bought it right away and am so glad I did.

"Large Print" is relative. The rest is not.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother, who has a "ludicrous print" Bible now, that's falling apart. She's an NIV fan, and while I'm not from the "KJV-or-bust" camp, I do frequently find the 'old English' feel to have some nuance that I thought she might appreciate being able to easily compare. She seemed happy with it, so it was a good Christmas =). That being said, I understand that the fact that Zondervan packed two complete Bibles in one binding was going to limit exactly how large the print would be, since even a one-point increase would end up making the book a hundred pages thicker, at least. Even so, the text didn't seem worthy of the 'large print' moniker. I had no problem reading it, but the text in her older Bible was definitely "large print", regardless of whether or not you had another Bible handy for comparison. This one is larger print, but only seems that way if you do a direct comparison. The cover is a legit hard cover - the Bible may be the Sword of the Spirit, but I could certainly see this particular Bible pulling double duty as the Shield of Faith in a pinch. The book itself is notably heavier than most other Bibles I've handled. I didn't read through the forwards in their entirety, but it's Charles Stanley, you either like what he has to say or you don't, and either way, the focus is the text anyway. If you like the legibility of the NIV with the accuracy of the KJV, this is your book. If you're looking for a Bible for someone who's got particularly bad eyesight, this might not be the correct one...but either way, it is the Bible, plain and simple.
