This has a great Tex Mex flavor if you like chicken that isn't overpowered by the heat of the peppers. I now use this as a rub on my chicken fajita meat, instead of mixing it with water like the instructions say. That's a new variation, because I have used it as directed with great results for 10 years, as long as I've shopped at Whole Foods. Typically, I cook for 2 using 4 chicken breast halves so I have leftovers for other applications. For this amount of chicken I can use half the packet and stretch it. If you want spicier meat, use the whole packet. So for a marinade chicken (or beef) rub, I will open a fresh gallon Ziplock storage bag, pour in 1-2 Tbsp high heat oil (I use light/saute olive oil or grapeseed oil) and compress it to coat the entire inside of the bag evenly before putting in the chicken. I cut my chicken breasts into strips, sprinkle the spices over the raw meat and rub it with my hands to cover thoroughly, drop them into the ziplock, squeeze the air out, and let it sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour and as long as 24 hours until I want to cook them in the pan the next evening. The chicken comes out very tender!

Not too salty and great flavor. We never buy taco seasoning anymore. Simply Organic has fab products, esp the gravy mixes too.

I really like this fajita mix. I use it as seasoning when I make chilli. It's also good added to ramen noodles instead of using the seasoning it comes with. Has a good flavor without being too spicy.
