Great product--does NOT hold 50 lbs of crumble though.
This is exactly what I needed for my coop. I was looking for a feeder that I could load from outside the coop, since the area I keep their feeders in inside the coop is behind the roosting area and I had to move it every time I filled the feeders. This one is great, so easy to fill, and holds ALMOST 50 lbs. There's about 3-4 lbs that won't fit in, after I've filled it to the very very top. A little frustrating, but no big deal for me. I just put the rest in one of their old PVC pipe feeders (which means I have to go in there and move the roosting bar.) The good thing is, since this holds enough feed for my 9 hens for about a month (they also forage outside), I don't have to do it as often, so I am not too upset about it. The construction seems solid, the price was fine, and I was able to go on a three-week trip to Italy and no one had to refill while I was gone. I made a modification since the access for filling the feeder is on the outside of my coop/run: I made a little awning for the top to divert rain away from the top. I show this in my video. I live in Los Angeles, and when it rains here, it RAINS, hard. On Thursday, we had more than 3" of rain in a torrential downpour where I live. This feeder stayed dry under my modification.

Well Made, Works Great
Great quality. This really simplified the feeding of my chickens, and we have 17. It holds *almost* 50 pounds of pellet feed. I really wish they would have made it just slightly bigger for that reason, but it's no big deal. It was a big upgrade in size for me, greatly reducing the frequency that I have to go out there and refill their feed. I mounted per the instructions and haven't had any issues with the chickens throwing feed out, as they can just barely reach it. My only issue is that cockroaches love to eat the feed at night and there's no built-in way to completely close it off. There were literally roaches in the trough of the feeder at night, and I even saw one walking off with a pellet of feed. That seems both unsanitary and a waste of food (the last thing I want to do is attract MORE nasty roaches). To solve the problem, I made a crude cover for the front of the feeder from thin plywood, magnetic strip, and a pair of sticky-back knobs. I cover the opening once the chickens are in the coop for the night and then I uncover it in the morning when I let them out. No more roaches. I only wish there was a built-in cover/door. Overall, I am very pleased. I wish I would have just spent the money earlier to get a good feeder, as opposed to trying to be cheap with a bunch of DIY projects-- buy once, cry once.

Best option for outdoor coop use
Iโve used these exact feeders for all livestock and they work great. No rust and they hold a full 40-50 lb bag of duck/chicken pellet feed almost exactly

Great feeder!
LOVE this feeder. It holds a good amount and the girls all seem to enjoy it as well. I like that you can hang it and it doesn't take up floor space. Our run is on the smaller size and this saves us some room. I put a magnetized mirror on the front for extra entertainment and they just love looking at themselves.

Great chicken feeder option
Have had for over 4 months so far and works great. Easy set up. Not too big but holds a whole 50 lbs bag of feed which makes farm chores so much easier. Less daily work. Less mess.

Works Very Well! Love thatโs it holds a while 50lb bag of feed.
Very easy to mount. Instructions were wonderful and even had a ruler to scale on the piece of paper and had a suggested height. We mounted ours at 9 inches which is what they suggested, and we never saw any dirt or shavings ice feed. It is easy for standard chickens to eat and surprisingly very comfortable for them. To hold 50 pounds of feed which is wonderful. it is built very well, but he is not waterproof so I do not recommend putting it outside. But works amazing inside for my hens!

Best Feeder Ever
Love this feeder! Built very well. No issues so far. Works better with pellets over crumble. Almost no spillage with pellets. We use ours for turkeys and chickens.

Big space saver
Update: 12/12/24 - I ended up purchasing 2 more of these and will undoubtedly be ordering more for my other pens. I have about 60+ chickens in my large coop and run. This taller, wall mounted feeder is exactly what I needed for the indoor area as it's opened up some much needed floor space so I will most likely be getting several more of these. The ones that have to be hung or elevated on a block or something are a pain because either me or the birds bump into them or knock them over, creating a mess. But the trench on these is deep so it prevents them from scratching in it and so far, no wasted food. You may have to spend some time getting them to understand there is food in there. The only con is that the screws they send didn't seem like them were going to be long enough to get a good grip and bear the weight so I switched them out for some long wood screws. It's been holding up perfectly fine ever since.

Great product!
Arrived earlier than stated. All we had to do was hang it on the wall and it was good to go! The screw template was perfect. Great product!
