Excellent replacement for well-used and bent old one.

Ok, just received these and I’m first impressions I am very impressed. I ordered these as a replacement for my tired and worn original Weber grates that I’ve had for 5 years. I ordered them with replacement stainless steel flavouriser bars. I’ll review those separately. Firstly the packaging is excellent. Extremely well protected in a double walled cardboard box and each grate separated with very sturdy polystyrene blocks. Unfortunately tuned up a little late in the day for my Sunday BBQ but that’s certainly my issue not Amazons. The grates are finished perfectly and are a substantial weight which you would expect from cast iron. These will most certainly hold heat and give a great sear to your protein of choice! I will put these in to use tomorrow and probably should have held of the review until then but hey, I’m very impressed so far. Just as good as the original Weber cast iron but way better value! 5 stars well deserved. This is my first Amazon review which is crazy as I spend a fortune on here but this is worthy of it.

Fit my spirit 200 series BBQ perfectly. Solid and flawlessly made. Read reviews saying bars are too spaced out but they aren't. Too close together it's like cooking on a skillet. You want a bit of flame to reach the food. Well placed food won't fall between the grates. Good value, well made, fits well and performs well.

Absolutely love the spare parts for my Weber Spirit from this seller. I've had quite a few items now and I'm never disappointed. The replacement parts are, in my opinion, better than the originals. I would have given this item a 5 star but the gaps between the grill spars are quite large so you have to be careful with thinner or flexible items - for example cooking the bacon for our Saturday morning butties resulted in two rashers disappearing in to the bowels of the BBQ as they slipped down the gap. It doesn't seem like a big deal but the loss of bacon is catastrophic in our house. I'm just going to have to pay better attention when cooking and keep an eye on rogue rashers.

You can only fit 1 grill in the Webber spirit 2 It leaves a huge gap. I have managed to retro fit it but you shouldn't have to.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Really good quality for the price point, I was restoring an old Webber I was given and decided to use these. Very pleased with them and no issues so far with around 10 hours of use so far. Value for money: Very good quality at this price point compared to genuine Webber grills. Fit: Perfect fit on my Webber Build quality: so far so good. I’ve seasoned mine and don’t over clean them wire chemicals. No rusting etc over winter but my bbq is always covered when not in use.

Very poor quality, I bought these to replace my original Webber cast iron grates hoping they would be just as good as the original, They look really good but after just one use food had stuck and was almost impossible to clean even though i oiled it first, I never had any issues with cleaning my original Webber grates. Also I was shocked to discover surface rust after i lightly scrubbed the grate. I wouldn’t recommend buying these over the originals.
