I’m really impressed with this skipping rope, especially for the price. The handles feel solid and are made from metal, giving the rope a premium, high-quality feel. Everything comes detached, so you need to assemble it yourself, but it's very straightforward. The rope length is easy to adjust. One feature I really like is that the Allen key used to tighten the screws is cleverly built into the handle itself. It screws into the end of the handle, so whenever you need to adjust or tighten the rope, the tool is always with you. There's no need to look for a separate Allen key, which is a thoughtful and practical design. A nice bonus is that it comes with an extra rope, spare screws, and a good-quality storage case. It also includes a long rubber sleeve that fits over the rope to protect it when skipping on rough surfaces such as concrete, helping to prevent the cord from wearing out. That's a really useful addition that isn't always included with skipping ropes. The rope spins very smoothly.

New to skipping, 4 weeks in, and this is a great rope. I am new to skipping and this does take some getting used to, as it is a very lightweight speed skipping rope. Heavier ropes give you more feedback, but this rope can be used as a beginner. This does seem frustrating at first when you trip yourself up, but your technique improves faster as you practice more. Be sure to adjust the rope as per the instructions, or check out videos online. I only skip in the park, in the dirt, and this is a lot less forgiving for a new skipper than if done on a hard surface. I would recommend to start a hard surface like a gym floor, or something similar. There is a guide in the package to help get you going, and check youtube for videos on beginners guides to jump rope. It is a great feature that the tool needed to tighten the wire, or adjust the length is built into the handle. This makes for quick adjustments when you are out skipping. Solidly built piece of kit. I have been using it for weeks and it shows no signs of wear and tear. The customer service was outstanding!! I had a problem with my order and the owner organised to get me a replacement order without me having to go via amazon. Adjustment Tips: Adjust length with you shoes on. Step on the rope, and both handles together should be up to about your nipples. Once you are happy with the length, having jumped a few times you can cut the rope with the wire cutter on a large pliers. I used 6" pliers to cut mine. I had to use the front part of the wire cutter to get enough force to cut through the wire. Measure 3 inches above where you tighten the rope on both sides and that is your point your want the cut. Jumping/Skipping tips: Start the skip by holding both handles together in front of you and spin the end of rope keeping the handles together, as one, in a criss crossing motion. This will look like you are making a big X across your body to start a skip. Once you have done 2 or more Xes across your body, and the rope is on the down swing then separate the handles and bring them to either side of your waist and jump through. This X motion gives the rope speed before you try your first jump. I still mess up the timing with this X motion and have to start again. If you start with the rope behind your feet on the ground and swing it does not have same speed and it is hard to judge when to do the first jump. Keep your hands DOWN at your waist, and keep them there. When your raise your wrists above that point you will trip yourself up when the rope gets caught on your feet. Bounce on the balls of you feet only. This allows the rope to cross your feet faster and you will not step up on it. Jump straight up, but only jump a little bit, 1 inches to 2 inches (3cm to 5cm) is enough. Do not kick your feet backwards. Only raise your feet straight up. Use wrist spin generated from your lower arms only. If your upper arms are moving, like the motion if you pretend you are rowing a boat, you are doing it wrong. Your biceps should not be doing any work. Using the wrist spin also keeps the rope tight on the spin, so you use the full length of the rope. A loose rope catches your feet more often. You measured the rope tight to your nipples for your height, you will not have the full height of the rope when it is loose.

So I've had a few Beast Rope Pros and moved onto this. I was having issues with pro tangling after a few weeks on crosses. I gave the elite a go as it has a different bearing arrangement and it's been excellent for not tangling. The rope comes with two wires, both the same just a replacement. I skip 30-45 per day on steel (on a ship) and the wire has lasted about 9 weeks before needing changed. It wasn't worn through, it sort of kinked. It's a very nice feedback and quite fast. I find the handles a slippy but I skip in about 35°C+, I also started to need to lubricate the bearings as one side is in its way out and was twisting the wire, again this is probably down to the heat and humidity where I skip, I don't see this happening in normal condition. One other thing is on double unders the caps on the ends sometimes unscrew in my hands ,so I put a chunky o-ring to stop that.

I just wanted to say this product is truly amazing, it's so easy to fix and even has spare counterparts, it's adjustable and perfect. I'm truly impressed. It feels much better than any jump rope I have had and truly worth its price. I truly love it

Just do it! If you're someone like me who has been skipping for years or someone completely new to speed ropes then you have to get this, it's levels above the rest! I've spent countless money on buying 'cheap' skipping ropes that have lasted a few months and in my most recent one a single week but you think to yourself 'its only a couple quid I'll just buy another's Why bother, when you can spend a bit more in the short term that will save you boat loads in the long term. You can tell these guys have done there research. The handles feel great in your hands (a little longer to what the cheap ones are like but nothing that hinders you) It's a nice weight and the rope is made of covered metal strands which give it a nice speed. You get an instructional video link so you can see how to set up the length etc of the rope. Only issue I have with the vid is that if you're at an advanced level you will probably want to shorten the length a little more as too much of the rope slaps on the floor causing momentum loss. Best part of the rope is the ability to adjust the length while you're out and about with the tool needed actually attached to the inside of the handle so you unscrew the tip of it to get access to it. Only thing I could say to improve on it better would be to have some sort of clip device (like a nail clipper) to trim it without having to use some pliers or something but that's being really critical! Pros. Great weight Lovely feel in your hand Solid and clearly well made A breeze to adjust Comes in a nice carry pouch to take with you Great customer service 2nd replacement rope incase you need it. Video to explain showing how to adjust. Cons A little pricey from first look but once you buy it you'll understand why. Be great to have different colours. Be even better if you had something to clip the wire with (although I appreciate this would add cost to the rope). All in all I can't fault this at all if I'm honest. I'm being nitpicky so it doesn't look like I'm the owner of this product (I wish I was! 😄) Don't spend tons a money buying cheap crap over months/years. Get the right tool for the right job As NIKE say. Just Do It!!

I was recommended this product by friends at my CrossFit. Unfortunately I’m not getting on with it. It constantly tangles while I skip/double up, so i have to pause to untwist and go again, which is really annoying. Shame as a cracking price and the handles are nicely weighted. They must not spin fast enough hence the tangle.

Over the past couple of months I have bought several items from Beast gear and been delighted with the quality, appearance and extra little touches you get when you purchase beast gear apparel like the individual bags with the logo on the front keeps your training gear nice and neat and not in a mess inside your gym bag. So back to the ropes, let me explain why I have given them five stars. You are not getting one pair of ropes you are getting two, ( so value for money) they come with two very strong pvc coated cables. The handles are a very robust stylish aluminium easy and light to hold, the bearings inside the handles allow the rope to run smoothly cutting down on the possibility of wear and tear and damage to your ropes. You will notice the end of each handle unscrews to reveal an Alan key this is for tightening and adjusting the length of your ropes, an excellent idea if like me the Alan key would be lost by now. I you decide to use your ropes on a concrete surface or outside beast gear have also thought about that as you get a hard rubber sleeve to protect your rope. All this is very well presented comes In a very stylish bag so once again it's not loose and tangled up next time you go to use it. So just to recap. Value for money Long lasting Stylish Well presented crossfit, boxing, general fitness, buy these ropes, pay that little bit extra you won't be disappointed.

Best jump rope so far. I use it specially for double unders and works great. Love that it has on the handles for fixing adjusting the rope. Great value, the cable is great for speed jumping and it has a really nice pouch/ bag to carry it.
