If you have a clamp on desk lamp that comes with those cheap plastic clamps that don't tighten and constantly come loose, this is the solution. Well designed and sturdy. The adjustable screw allows a range of sizes. It just works.

After you've had a favorite reading lamp for awhile the C-clamp that attaches to a desk, or furniture, doesn't always work as well. I wanted to keep my lamp, but the clamp didn't stay attached to the desk like it use to. When I put this one on the desk and inserted the round piece into the clamp it worked so much better. I recommend replacing these. It's less hastle and this one is made of steel and sturdy.

Not quite sturdy for the IPad holder. It’s “Almost” great, but I am using it for an IPad holder and it unfortunately slips out. I would think it would be sufficient for a drafting light though. It is well made, just needs to be a little more area on the under surface.

I am an Aesthetician/Lash artist who recently started business out of my home and bought a magnifying lamp but somehow lost the clamp to it while moving. I have ordered so many different clamps which were all too small or too big for the lamp to fit into properly. This is the only one that has worked out perfectly! I just wish it had a hole on the side so it could clamp to my massage table but it holds up just fine on my supplies shelf!

Good clamp. As expected.

This clamp clamps hard and holds my drafting light exactly where it needs to be. It's not wobbly or loose like the mount it came with years ago. The half inch socket is a good fit and is low profile to the desk so it doesn't get in the way. I wish I'd found this earlier.

Found an ancient lamp at a garage sale was perfect for what I needed. The only thing missing was the desk clamp. This one was nice and sturdy, and the size was perfect. If I should ever need one of these again, I'll know who to turn to.
