Not what I expected but loved what I read and will cherish it
So I just finished this book. I was disappointed at first because I was hoping it would dive into the chakras more. It didn't, it was more of a fantasy book based on the 7 chakras. After getting some way into it I realized it did break down the chakras but in a realistic everyday kind of way. It brought each chakra alive and helped me connect to them better. Ofcorse in any good fantasy book there is a villian and she attacked the sisters. Making them forget who they are and each other. It tells how when we indulge in lower frequencies how it can unbalance us and destroy our castle (aka our body). It gives examples with each chakra what symptoms can manifest. Ofcrose with most fantasy books it had a happy ending and the sisters remembered who they were. This would be a good book for kids and anyone wanting to connect more to their chakras. I will be passing this book onto my oldest daughter.

I was wholeheartedly disappointed with this purchase
THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR KIDS! I was wholeheartedly disappointed with this purchase. It has good reviews, and no where in the description does it talk about the sexual content in part of the book. I had purchased Goodnight Yoga, and Healing Crystals for kids books and was totally happy with them. This book came up in those searches and I thought it would be a young person friendly way to explain the chakras. NOPE. It got here today, and thank goodness I chose to read through some of the chapters before I gave it to my niece. There is violence and sexually inappropriate content for children. This is more suitable for teenagers and higher. I'm just writing this so someone else doesn't make the mistake I did.

Finally!
Yes, finally, there is an explanation of the chakras that I really "get", relate to, and, miracle of miracles, remember! The adventures of the 7 sisters in their castle are memorable and entertaining. Living in a castle on Mt.Iknowmenow, located in the town of Thisismeville, the sisters learn (and teach us) how to work together to create a happy, healthy inner energy environment.I'm grateful for what ever it was that inspired Dr. Rosenthal to take this weighty subject and demystify the chakras by turning it all that information into a fun, memorable, and entertaining story.I find myself recommending this book to massage therapists and energy workers all the time now. The only thing that's missing is a business card for the The Seven Chakra Sisters that I could hand to people.

Very clear information
For the ones like me who are interested in learning about the energy system in our bodies I think this book has a very clear explanation about how the different energy centers affect everything in our life.I like to read it as a story where every part of our energetic body is a character with the same importance but with a different responsibility regarding our way to see the world and how we relate to it.Each one of the chakra characters has a name that relates to an emotion. If the person reading the book is new to this information it will be easy to understand and remember.I would highly recommend it, it's and enjoyable book.

Best. Chakra. Book. Ever.
I love an allegory and this one is next level great. I love the chakra concept and this book helped me connect in a MUCH deeper way with it. I’m calling the sisters by name now. This. Is. Awesome.

What a Joyride!
With The Seven Chakra Sisters, author and healer Linda Linker Rosenthal establishes herself as a master storyteller, accomplishing what master storytellers do best: entertain us while providing a means for reflection, insight, and transformation in our own lives. Entertain she does. With vivid descriptions and endless imagination, Linda takes us to a magical land where we're quickly drawn into the lives of the Seven Chakra Sisters, Owl Woman, Forgetcha Kundameanie, and other loveable characters. I burst out laughing numerous times in her fantastical world as spiritual truths were cleverly juxtaposed with brilliant humor, down to earth realness, and all too familiar references to modern life.As a man, I was concerned that I might feel left out, that I would find myself reading a "woman's book." Nothing could have been further from the truth. As I followed the adventures and misadventures of the chakra siblings, my own inner journey also ensued. When Aneeda got needy or Ivanna got greedy I laughed at their antics, and soon found myself laughing at my own. As the sisters struggled to be patient with each other I was reminded to be patient with myself as my various aspects strive for balance. When "the gals" had a moment of clarity or insight, I seemed to gain some for myself as well.If you are already familiar with your chakras, I trust that Linda's presentation will assist you in getting to know them in a new and deeper way. If you're just beginning your chakral journey, you will be delighted as the seven spinning sisters help you to make friends with your inner allies "who keep you healthy, laughing, loving, and wise." Through her fun, frolicking, flight of fancy, Linda reminds us that the point of understanding and working with our chakras is not just to stare at our navels, but to bravely venture forward, creating our own lives in a loving, authentic, empowered, and inspired way. May your journey begin!Eric Brian Lindemer, CMTMassage Therapist, Energy Healer, and author of the upcoming book "Dancing On My Own"

Utter rubbish!
I found the book very patronising and more for a child than an adult. I couldn't relate to the characters and much prefer books like 'Archetypal Chakras' by Bittlinger. Sorry, but I found this a very disappointing read!!

Just what I was looking for...
An excellent way of describing the Chakra System so anyone can understand & see how it relates to themselves.I felt this book was written with me in mind and I came across it at just the right time.
