I’ve never sea cucumber before so I wasn’t sure if I prepared it right. I soaked it in water overnight, scrubbed it clean and boiled until it’s somewhat soften but still crunchy. I then seasoned it and stir fried it before adding it to porridge. I don’t think it has any flavor beside what I seasoned it with. It has a crunchy texture, which was interesting. I think it’s an interesting food to try out but I’m not sure I’d get it again. Maybe I’ll try it again at a restaurant to see how it’s supposed to taste like when properly prepared.

These are delicate pieces of sea cucumber which is perfect for soups as it provides immense flavor to them. It is a nice delicacy too since it is relatively cost value expensive. I like that this pack has about 25 pieces to it though. It provides a nice umami earthy taste to soups, and it is very healthy. I like that these are dried to prolong their longevity and it retains their freshness in the pack over a long time.
