A Whale of a Tale (3) (Mermaid Tales)

My daughter enjoyed this book, now wants another from the series.

My niece like these this series of books, but finds the characters shallow and the plots forgettable. Why 4 stars? They are an easy read and she looks forward to the uppity characters getting in trouble.

My 6 year old daughter loves this book. She is able to read at a fourth grade level and finding appropriate but interesting books for her has become a bit of a challenge. This book series does the job. Each story deals with a different mermaid. Each story is interesting and has held my daughter's interest. I would encourage others to check out this book!

My 7 year old daughter loves this series. The books are fun. Occasionally there’s a typo but nothing to serious.

My 3 and 5 year old enjoy listening to me read these books out loud. They love the characters and these books have a decent amount of action. I also like that kids can learn some facts about the ocean while reading these books. We will continue to read this series for sure!

My 8 year old daughter fell in love with this series. The only thing is that she is on a 6th grade reading level, so she read the whole series in less than a week. She does reread them though and loves the fact that she owns them all.

My 7 year old loves this series. She is obsessed with mermaids and I'm so happy we found the series to help her make the jump to chapter books. She does read a bit above her grade level (currently in 2nd), so this may be more on level for 3rd grade.

My daughter loved it and is looking forward to getting more of them!
