If you could have any animal's front teeth, whose would you choose? What If You Had Animal Teeth!? takes children on a fun, informative, and imaginative journey as they explore what it would be like if their own front teeth were replaced by those of a different animal. Featuring a dozen animals (beaver, great white shark, narwhal, elephant, rattlesnake, naked mole rat, hippopotamus, crocodile, and more), this book explores how different teeth are especially adapted for an animal's survival. At the end of the book, children will discover why their own teeth are just right for them. And they'll also get a friendly reminder to take good care of their teeth, because they're the only teeth they'll ever have. Each spread features a photograph of the animal using its specialized teeth on the left and a humorous illustrated image of a child using that animal's teeth on the right. Review: Fun books for young thinkers - Great book for young minds that like to imagine. Review: A fun way to teach an important science concept! - I bought this book (along with the other books in the series) to go along with our 4th grade unit on animal adaptations. My students LOVE them! I can hardly keep them on the book shelf of my classroom library! The illustrations are charming and even inspired several of my students to create their OWN illustrations of themselves with animal body parts. The author did a great job of teaching an important science concept in a funny, engaging way. I love these books so much that I just pre-ordered the next book in the series, which is coming out right as school is starting. These books would make a great addition to ANY collection, whether it's at home or at school or whether it's for learning or just for fun. You'll enjoy them for sure!

Clever Book With Hilarious Illustrations
My kids love this book! It's an excellent way to teach them a little about nature, stir the imagination, and just have fun with the kids. My son's favorite page is the girl who imagines what it would be like to have the teeth of a shark. She has a huge smile with a mouth full of jagged sharp teeth (the effect is funny, not scary), and she's about to make a fortune putting teeth under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy (you know, because sharks are always losing their teeth, and there is always another tooth behind it, ready to move forward). Clever stuff.

Imaginative and informative with funny illustrations!
So imaginative and informative! The book begins with the losing of a first baby tooth and then the question, "But what if an animal tooth grew in instead?" It shows12 different animal's teeth and how they work, along with amusing drawings of children with those different type of teeth. It also explains how human teeth grow and a reminder to take care of them There's a lot of information contained in the 32 pages, its an interesting selection of animals and the illustrations are very entertaining! Sandra Markle has more books along this line (feet, nose, hair) and we plan to get those too!

Love Animal Teeth!
I love this book and so do my kiddos! We read the story and then we did a writing sample where the children choose what kind of animal teeth they wanted and why. I had different samples of the different kinds of teeth and they glued them to their head at the top of the writing sample. The book was really cute and informational. This is a great informative-narrative if you are looking for one!

Excellent non tablet form of Learning
I bought this children's magazine because I fondly remember reading them as a child myself in the very early 60's. It brings me back to then just turning the pages. Yes I did read some of it my self. after all I do want to know what he is learning about.

A must have for dental operatories!
As a dental hygienist, I have a copy of this book on each operatory I practice in! It's interesting, has great pictures, is informative, and a great conversation starter.
