Makes quilt appliqué so easy and convenient!
I bought this ironing mat for a different project, but ended up using it to fuse large organza appliqués to a quilt top. It allowed me to spread the quilt out on my large cutting table so I could randomly place the fabric while viewing large sections of quilt. It worked really well, placement and adjustment of the mat underneath was super easy, and it protected my plastic cutting table.

Cotton setting may be too hot for this item and will easily scorch.
The size was great. I purchased it to use when traveling or while sewing. Unfortunately, I had my iron on the cotton setting and it rubbed the fabric (quilted side) and scorched which immediately transferred to the item I was ironing. I was disappointed as I couldn’t totally remove the scorch fabric from the project I was working on. 😜So, my suggestion - don’t use the cotton setting and be very careful when using or cover it with another piece of fabric. It was pretty inexpensive so I will probably order something different. And I always have to hang it up to dry after use because the steam makes the item pretty damp.

Folds up small
I love how small this folds up. I use it for crafting but I will bring it with me when I travel. It would be good for a college kid. Where space is limited.

Attaching?
My only complaint is how am I supposed to attach the pad? There is a strap, but it is to hold the pad in a folded up position for storing. I'm using mine on a "TV" table beside my sewing machine. I used 2 metal "office" clamps to hold the ends together under the table. The pad is just long enough to do that. The pad was thinner than I expected, so I put a hand towel under it which seems to make it a perfect ironing side table for my quilt piecing. I would buy this pad again.
