The product has a higher level of ingredients than others and the price is lower. That's what attracted me to this item.However, I was disappointed by the product when I got it.Most of the others that I looked at with high ratings were a "dog treat" form, larger and chewy, with some sort of flavor the dog would take as a treat. This product is a large hard tablet. My old dog isn't attracted to the smell of them and they would be harder to chew than the larger softer products. It's too big to take as a pill. We cut it up and mixed it with the dog food and the little bits were left in the bowl, so they must not taste or smell good.This may be an effective product, but it is not as presentable to our dog and he probable won't get any of these helpful ingredients into him.So, overall, not effective if the dog won't eat them.I would compare these in size and hardness to Tums. My dog will eat a Tums because it tastes good. He won't eat these.

My friend just adopted a 7 year old schnauzer and adoption volunteer was adamant about us buying hip and joint chews for Lucy since she was older. My friend Kim has had Lucy for a couple of months now and still hadn't purchased hip and joint chews so I did. I searched amazon and found this brand to have good, quality incredients especially glucosamine and the reviews were strong. So it's been a little over a week now and Lucy is running around my friend's house as if she was a 2 year old puppy. It's so fun to watch her go like she has been because it can be tough for new dogs to adapt to their new home and owner. I think getting her 'back on her feet' with these glucosamine chews helped her transition go smoother.

Our vet gave us a sample for our 12 1/2 year old Olde English Bulldog who had horrible breath and gum problems. We noticed an improvement after a month of use. At her 6 month vet check-up, our vet was pleased to see that most of the plaque and tartar was gone. Also her red and swollen gums were less inflamed and tender. We are so impressed with this product that we have started to use it with our rescue cats and dog. For the cats, we started with a small amount and slowly worked up to the recommended dose. They all tolerate the taste.One of the cats even likes to lick the dry powder! There was a minor problem with the packaging on one container. I contacted the seller and received a response within 12 hours. The problem was addressed clearly and resolved quickly to my satisfaction. I will definitely buy from this seller again.

My dog loves these Wild Catch Wild Salmon Bites and the quality ingredients are so much better for our pets than many other treats. The three packages I received from "The Vet's Pet" are stamped with best by dates of March 2018, which is 3 months out, so they're good, but when I've purchased this same product before from other vendors, the "best by" dates have been a minimum of 6 months out and usually 9-12 months out. So, I'm glad that I didn't order more than 3 packages at this time, since I don't give these to my dog on a daily basis. Unless you're going to use them quickly, I wouldn't recommend ordering too many packages at this time (unless maybe you froze them?).

I have some teeny chihuahua puppies. I wanted to get them something to chew at the pet store so I found a turkey tendon. It was $2.99. My 2 lb puppy LOVED it so I got him a few more. Then I went on to Amazon and found these. They are just as good as the ones that are $2.99 each and I always have one available. I just got a 1 lb puppy (she is teeny) and I gave her one of these and she went nuts and chewed it, then went and stole the other puppy's chew. These are great for little dogs. I just purchased my 3rd bag and will keep these in stock at my house now.

My dog has been more manageable, calmer, and his anxiety seems to be easier for him to handle. He's high-energy, so I've had to space out his doses. But, once I've found his peak... He's great to be around and much easier to manage with his fears off loud noises. He being a rescue, it was hard to find out that your new puppy (literally) is broken and now needs medicine to be managed. This hemp oil is great at helping him be the dog I know he can be and I will continue with his treatment.

We got a free sample of this powder from our vet, and, because we had it, tried adding it to our dogs' dinners. Didn't expect much -- but, to our surprise, our dogs' teeth soon started looking whiter and their bad dog breath went away! We started buying it and use it once daily (about ½ tsp. sprinkled onto their food, less than the amount the label calls for)( we have two 80# Rhodesian Ridgebacks). One dog had her first teeth-cleaning at the vet just last month -- at 6 years old! Our younger dog (4 years) hasn't needed teeth-cleaning yet. This product seemed pricey at first, but is far, far less than the price of annual teeth-cleaning! Will use this forever.
