The construction is good and it does seem to work without any stress to my dog. It goes on and off quickly and easily.My only complaint is the size chart. My dog's chest measures 31" and her waist 26" so I bought the LARGE size which is rated 25-33" chest and 19-28" waist which you would think would be some midpoint adjustment. The fit was way too large. I had to adjust every belt to its shortest length to get the correct fit. I almost ordered the MEDIUM but it does fit so I held off but those size ranges are far too conservative.Now maybe they accidently put an X-LARGE in a LARGE bag but the bag does indicate it is a LARGE size.

Bought for our Golden Retriever since she is older and has trouble getting up. This snaps on and adjusts very easily. The only thing that I am not thrilled about is that the pads on the straps that go underneath are kind of small for our larger dog. I do like the dual handles instead of one just one in the middle. It also came with a strap so you can put on your shoulder to help lift and carry the dog. I would buy again.

Got this for our old 75lb dog who can't do stairs anymore, so this helps with that. Also good to have in case she falls & we can't get her up due to her size. Very well made.

I have been ordering from Amazon for decades, and this is the first item I have ever had to return (three times!).After carefully measuring my dog and rechecking the measurements three times, I consulted the size chart and ordered a large harness. One of the measurements fell into the X-Large category, but since the other two fell into smaller categories, I went with the large. The large harness arrived Nov. 17, 2024 and was way too big, even with the straps adjusted as tightly as possible. I decided to try the medium, but it was out of stock. Meanwhile, I had to lift my nearly 60-pound dog in and out of the car (he won't do steps or a ramp) and ended up injuring my arm and back.The medium harness finally became available, but what I was sent was a misassembled harness that consisted of a LARGE front piece and a medium back piece! When I went to exchange it for a true medium, the medium was out of stock once again. Eventually received the medium, but it was too small!In the end, I exchanged it for a large harness (the size I had originally purchased three months earlier), and I took it to a tailor and paid to have the straps shortened. Interestingly, the straps that were way too big on the large were the ones across my dog's back (Measurement C) that according to the size chart should have been X-Large based on my dog's measurements!I would give five stars for the great design of this harness with the two handles and for the good material. I was unable to find anything like it online. I am only giving this product three stars because of the inaccurate size chart and the sloppy web page. The measurement chart instructs you to take measurement C on top of the dog's back, but in the (way too fast) video, the person takes the measurement UNDER the dog's chest! Not to mention the misspelling. It's a shame that such a quality product is not better represented. Amazon even notes that it is a frequently returned item.

This is a life saver. I have a 12 yr old rescue who has diabetes & Cushings and a problem with her back legs. If I didn’t have this I don’t know how I would get her into the car for her vet appointments since she is 60 lbs and can’t jump in. It’s very easy to put on and seems comfortable for her. I originally had a large which was too big so I had to return that for a medium. It really saves my back since it makes it much easier to lift her into the car and getting up stairs. You can use it as a single piece or 2 separate pieces. It has 2 large rings to attach the leash.

My Beethoven is 13 yrs, 60 pds.. He has mild/moderate arthritis. His back legs are also weak. The vet has since Nov 2022 prescribed him daily Galaprant tablets for the arthritis. Beethoven started wearing the vest 2 weeks ago. He was wearing a full body one which completely covered his under belly resulting in his hair becoming matted and wet. A mobile vet came to the house and shaved his stomach, which was great. He is now much more comfortable and cooler.I purchased the medium, which I am surprised is a bit large for him. He has to wears this 24/7 because his back legs are weak. He needs help to standing on occassions. He slips and falls quite a bit and when he does I have to lift him up. But once on his feet he can walk well. If the ground is slippery I hold the back handle. I also have to hold the back handle if he is standing stationary for more than a few seconds.Overall, I give this vest a 5 out of 5. It is light, sturdy and cool to wear which is very important because he has a double coat.If your doggie needs to wear a vest 24/7 like Beethoven I think it would be best that it is a little bit loose so it can move up and down easily so not press against any area of this skin. This will avoid pressure points, heat build and sores, bit like a human get bed sores.The vest is strong, well made and does not have any sharp/rough areas. It is made in 2 sections: front and back. They both can detach easily. Hope this review helps someone.Last year I purchased this product I was very happy with it. I needed a replacement so I ordered a new one . Unfortunately when the replacement came it was missing the back support piece so I am unable to use it. I am going to have to reorder again. Very disappointed.
