Sliced Up: A Cozy Murder Mystery Kindle Edition

This book had some great points. The writer tells a fast readable story. If only I could have liked or come to care about a single character. Never in 1 book have I met so many unlikeable people. Additionally many of them were unnecessary to the story line. One set of suspects appeared out of nowhere and disappeared just as quickly with no explanation, like a hit and run. Finally the story reads like you are dealing with very young adults, yet I think she states the heroine is in her 30's. There may be 30 year olds who act so immature in the real world, but not so many in the same place. It was sad really because the plot and twist of the murder itself had some real serious potential.

I really wanted to like this book. It is well written and the characters are unique. However, I only made it halfway through before I decided I just didn’t care how it ended. The main character is just too wishy-washy. Maybe she gets smarter by the end of the book but up to the point I read, she couldn’t even stand up to her employer/aunt. Sorry.

Aria and Piper are going on a double blind date. Next thing you know someone is dead. Once again Piper will be in the middle of the murder. This is a cute quick read cozy mystery. I totally enjoyed every minute of this book.

Romance, mystery, intrigue, jealously keep one looking forward to what will happen on the next page! Thank goodness there was no actual slicing in death.

I really enjoyed this and following Piper again. It was a great read and maybe a romance starting.

A double blind date arranged on the internet. What could possibly go wrong. As the two girls show up for the date one of the men gets in a fight and has a busted lip. He later is found murdered. Who was the perpetrator? Is it the victims best friend, ex-girlfriend, fellow reporters, or the guy he fought with?The constant ridicule of the girl snoop was a little much.

Pretty good read. It drew me in to want to know more and at times I couldn't put the book down. Although, the ending was too fast moving, as if the authors took their time to develop the whole book but then it was time for dinner so they wrapped the ending up as fast as they could. Also, the main character is apparently 31 years old but before I knew her age I had assumed she was 21, so her mannerisms throw me off sometimes. With that said, I would probably read another book in the series.

I sort of liked it, Piper drove me crazy with allowing her Aunt and her mom to brow beat her. She has been working for them for 17 years and has nothing to show for it. The mystery part of the story was good.

The basic plot of this cosy is excellent, several red herrings & a great twist at the end.However, some characters are unbelievable. Why does Piper allow her family of mean girls to bully her so badly?Also, the story needs editing for consistency.
