I must say I was rather impressed with the power this thing had. I bought it for myself as a sort of birthday present. At my local Wegmans I am able to return coins at the coin star kiosk and trade the coins in for receipts. I went straight to Amazon when I got home and I already knew what I wanted. I searched for a blowgun and saw the prices were much higher than I expected, ranging from $20 to $40 for a blowgun, I was a little upset, until I saw this one. I took a gamble with it as the price was much cheaper than the others, but I was blown away by this blowgun - pun intended - when I took it out of the box, which shipped much quicker than expected. Just for fun I shot into several items, it went about a quarter inch into a 2x4 with an average powered blow, went through each side of a power are bottle, and right through a balloon and into the cabinet behind it, it even got stuck in my wall a few times by accident. Overall a great product and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend, in fact I already have to a few of my buddies. Perfect gift for teenage boys who are mature enough for use, if shot at someone it would easily go through skin.

This is a very nice THREE FOOT GUN. I purchased the 40 caliber just for target plinking in and out of the house. I'm and old dude and old school, had a gun back in the day, but then we had the " Old "conical tail pieces that had an air cavity in back , but were heavier and not as fast as the new style darts with the tapered end with the flexible skirt. Very air tight in the tube -- FASTER>.. Good quite fun and great practice for hand - eye coordination and concentration.

I bought this for my dad as a gift and he seems to really enjoy it. It shoots well and it's pretty accurate. The darts have some good penetration.

I've been practicing with this in my garage. The sight takes some getting used to, I'm right eye dominant so I should with it rotated to the 3 o'clock position and it is maybe 6" low from 12 ft to 30 ft. I bought a Venom target and glued it to a 2'x4' piece of 1/4" plywood. It's a great target, the darts will slightly poke through the plywood and can be hard to remove. It makes great lung exercise. I've attached my best 12 ft and best 30 ft targets so far. You do have to assemble the darts but not the gun.

I got the 3' .40 cal one piece model. This is my first blowgun, so I can't speak from experience. That being said, I got it for my birthday from my wife who thought it was a silly request but she humored me. We took it out for a spin right away on an improvised target in the back yard. before we came back in she ordered another one for herself so we wouldn't have to take turns. I'm not looking to hunt with it, just have fun, and it is a blast. As an absolute beginner I was able to shoot fairly consistently within an hour of taking turns with it. It has surprising velocity and accuracy at short range (about 25'). To go beyond that you get a bit of an arc, so it will require practice get accurate, but practice is going to be fun. Get extra darts because you're going to want to take more shots before you have to retrieve them. I had no issues with any of my darts everything worked perfectly. Youtube videos were great for learning technique.

We bought this as a gift for our 12 year old at Christmas. He loves it. It’s the real deal so you have to be careful. We have acreage property so he has a lot of room to run around and shoot this thing safely without worrying about neighbors or other people. It comes with practice darts (they have little BB’s on the tip instead of the dart so you can set up a box or something inside and practice. The darts however are the coolest to use. They fly pretty true at 15-20 yards (only a slight parabolic adjustment to get them on target..also depends on the force in which you blow). Further out you have to make adjustments. Warning if you are shooting them outside the darts can be hard to find. Definitely a good purchase, now we have to dip the darts in poison and kill some small animals! Just kidding!
