Price seems about right but looked too frustrating to use due to low quality workmanship.
Though the price is hard to argue with, I'm going to end up returning these to Amazon. There were lots of crumpled or folded areas of the LED strip and the attached 3M double-sided tape showed extremely poor quality control. In places it was wavy or misaligned, and I only looked at the first few feet of the tape.1/31/15 EDIT: I toyed with the idea of not returning it since it was so cheap, but after closer inspection I am more convinced than ever that this product is not worth my time. There is lots of "crushing" damage to the strip and the adhesive is uneven and barely tacky. This is not the kind of double-sided tape I would expect on an item like this. I am comparing it to a store-bought roll of 300 LEDs/reel strip-light that was bought at a local hobby-electronics store that I happen to work at. It's nearly 4x the price but also much better quality. I would hope to find a middle-ground of some sort.I'm replacing halogen under-cabinet lights both as a nice little construction project as well as a way to save power.2/3/15 EDIT: I've returned them and also noted something about the product photos: It is not of the product for sale. The two photos with black backgrounds show a high-quality '5050' LED strip that is silicone-potted for water resistance. This is very deceiving, but even the rest of the photographs (white background) depict a LED strip that is potted for water resistance. It appears to be the correct width and design (layout of resistors and LEDs), but it is still a different product than the one offered for sale.
