P-06400 Hammer Arrester, 3/8-Inch X 3/8-Inch

Was nervous about this after reading a couple reviews about it not eliminating the hammering.If it was a bit cheaper I would have given it 5 stars.This installed in minutes, and the first few uses it didn't seem to work. HOWEVER, after the faucet valve opened and closed around a dozen times it began working flawlessly.I would buy this again and would recommend it if you have an issue with hammering.I would caution you though that it seems to take a few goes before it settles into steady operation.

This is an excellent product. It worked exactly as advertised. Even though thee are no instructions with the product, installation was very easy and straight forward. It can only be installed one way so anyone should be able to figure that one out. I recently installed a kitchen facet that turns on and off with the wave of your hand. These helped reduce the water hammer problems. I still had to buy some copper clamps to firmly attach the pipes to the floor joists. Once I did that all was perfect, they work perfect once all the water pipes are properly secured. These are cheaper than the big box stores.

Some days it works, other days it doesn't and I get lots of pipe banging. Previous arrester was Sioux Chief brand, I will be going back to that.

Useless. Spend the money on Sioux brand. I replaced an older hammer arrester that started leaking but worked perfect. These did not do a thing same performance with no arrester.

Installed on a toilet, didn't make a difference. Had already confirmed proper pipe hanging under the house, and water pressure. Unit is built well, and was a breeze to install. Given that I had to shorten the line to my toilet, the arrester will stay installed.

I am giving this five stars because this is such a well designed product. It is easy to install between your toilet water supply valve and your toilet water supply line to the tank. It immediately fixed the hammer problem that I had, without the need of getting inside the wall to do it. It was so easy to install. Great product.

Wow! Fixed water hammer issue that was occurring throughout my entire house. I installed two of these, one each on the hot and cold water lines under my kitchen sink. That was a problem area I thought I would tackle first, and if the product worked, I would buy more for other areas of the house. After I installed these, I ran the dishwasher, my wife did laundry, the kids had baths that night and NO problems anywhere! Before I installed the two hammer arresters, there was serious noise, especially in the upstairs kid's bathroom on their tub. It sounded like someone was slamming a door every time you'd turn off their shower faucet. I couldn't believe that putting these on one sink on the floor below had that much impact on all the pipes! I will have to wait and see how long they last, and will keep my fingers crossed. Right now, I'm really impressed.
