Fun item
I got this as a gift for my grandson. He loves being a Pirate at our lake home. This is perfect. The telescope works great. He and his grandpa both use it for finding treasure! And they use the box as their hidden treasure chest. It is perfect. Update: Almost four years later and this is still an amazing item. It was for our Grandson's 4th birthday and he is now 7.5 yrs old. It has been used by two other grandkids now and they ALL LOVE IT!! It has been hidden in the sand, left outside over night, and played with A LOT. I highly recommend this for any pirate!

Nice little spyglass
Seems to be well made, feels pretty solid, opens and closes smoothly, comes in a nice little wooden box, and is a really good price. Magnifies about what you would expect for its small size, but I think my grandson will have fun with it! I'm happy. Came very quickly, too!

This is a nice item for the price.
It was made quite well but required reinstalling one of the connections. The kids like it.

Great display trinkets
I am using this as a trinket on a table in my Horror themed living room. The telescope and box are both manufactured nicely and seem pretty sturdy. The telescope does function too.

Great gift for wanna be little pirates
My grandsons loved this gift. All 5 if them! It looks like a real little treasure chest and the spy glass is a bonus. Great gift for youngsters who like pirates.

Expected a bit more
This product is cheap so I wasn't expecting something artfully crafted or state of the art but it looks like it's been used and abused. It's a gift for my 4 year old so again, not looking for something super fancy but I at least expected it to be in new condition. There are dings all over it.

Poor optics but nice looking
Don't buy it for the optics: honestly I think distant things are easier to observe with a naked eye than with that toy! That being said, the toy is nice looking and my daughter is happy (which was the objective)

Cheaply made - fell apart
As soon as I opened and extended the telescope it fell apart. Cheaply made. Do not recommend.
