It seems to be of really good construction/workmanship and is working as hoped for/expected. I would buy again in the future if/when needed and would recommend to others.

This is a great center punch. Ever try to drill a hole (even in a drill press) and watch your bit walk to the side a bit? Well this is your solution. Actually, I'll admit that I've never used a center punch before purchasing this one, but I wish I had bought one years ago. I bought this for creating divots to drill accurate holes in rectangular aluminum tubing. I also used it on mild steel and tried it on wood. It works great all around! To use this thing, you just put the point where you want the divot and push hard on the orange top. The internal spring compresses, and then it snaps driving the point into whatever you are trying to mark. You can screw/unscrew the end of it to increase/decrease spring tension. For metal, just leave it on the max setting. Dial it down for wood.

This tool works very well and is highly durable. The design of the tool allows for easy punching on metal in most situations. I am a fire alarm technician and this works out well for drilling enclosures, metal pipe, door frames, etc.

Doing lathe work, finding the center of a piece of wood is easy, using this device, marking the center is a breeze.

Exactly what I needed to drill holes in some angle iron. I had to make dimples in the metal to keep the drill bit from drifting, and this worked perfectly.

Very comfortable to the palm unlike cheap junk. The weight gives the impression of quality and durability. The bulb on top gives you the surface area to deliver the power you need for that crisp snap of this sharp punch while also providing stability to the punch all increased my accuracy.
