If the listing does not clearly state that the wire is 100% OFC then it is not going to be. The reason this wire is twice as much as other 8 gauge speaker wire is because your buying copper wire not aluminum wire strands coated in copper. Buy this wire if your trying to decide what type of wire to buy. Its worth the extra money so your amp gets every bit of power out of your vehicles electrical system and you wont be losing performance from your amp because of your car audios wiring. This wire gives you the best connection between your vehicles battery to your aftermarket car audio. Its also super easy to route and work with because of its high strand count and flexible insulation. Will CCA wire work.....of course it will, but the few bucks you save buying it you just end up losing in your amps power output (which is like buying a 500 watt amp but ending up with a 420 watt amp ) if you don't mind just tossing out what equates to an 80 watt amp out of your system, go ahead and use the CCA wire. Cut costs with other areas of your system if you need to stay in a set budget.....I just wouldn't try and cut corners with your wiring. I decided to write this long winded review because the first chunk of wire I bought (which was from a different company) they lied on the listing and stated what i was buying was real ofc wire but what arrived was cca wire so i had to send back. But this Sky High Wire is the real deal and I am very happy with my purchase and you will be as well.

This is amazing speaker wire. 8 gauge. Thick. I wired my Rotel RB-980BX Amp to my B&W Matrix 804 speakers. Amazing sound.

I find this wire of high quality. It replaces 12 gauge speaker wires. I used banana plugs bought on amazon & trimmed the wire endings to fit the banana plug. The sound is fuller and has more presence, it has deeper bass than the previous 12 gauge wire I was using. I got the idea of using this bigger gauge, from changing the ends of a seemingly high end speaker wire, made up of 4 X 14 gauge copper wiring. Anyway, altough speaker wire gauge is often a highly debated subject, you should hear a noticeable sonic difference over a smaller gauge wire. Reliable seller and fast shipping.
