I had my 10 year old break his thumb while catching. We bought this for extra cushion while he catches. Works really good, provides good cushion for hard pitches. Super impressed! Does ware out a little quick but overall for the use will last a season.

By the end of my softball practices, my hand would be swollen and bright red from catching in the infield. I decided to try this glove, and I am so glad I did! It does exactly what it's meant to do, protecting my hand from the fast throws that come my way. I still have full function of my hand, and it does not hinder my catching in any way. My hand feels great at the end of practice! I am a 5'6" woman with pretty small hands, so I wasn't sure what size to order. I printed the size chart off the Markwort web site, and went with a size youth X-LARGE. It's still a little big at the end of a couple of my fingers, but it still works great. Since it velcroes at the wrist, I'm able to get a fit I'm happy with.

Bought this for our 10 year old , works amazing . He was catching a bigger kid who threw gas and his hand never hurt.

So this protects well but the fit to be used inside a catchers mitt it’s tough especially for the younger crowd. My daughter is 5’ 14u with a very good mitt. This inner glove liner is just too bulky to fit. But we’ve noticed when we tame the time to fit it, its protection is solid. But doesn’t make sense when trying to quickly transition from batting line up to catching in a rush. We found another option that works better and faster smoother transitions

I am going to save you some time here, now that I have ordered more than I care to admit of these gloves. IGNORE "throw" when selecting left or right. It is not right-hand throw, it is a glove for the right hand. Quality seems nice so far and provides that extra layer of protection.

Good padding inner glove!

My daughter uses this to help protect against a stinging palm from catching for a heat-throwing pitcher for an hour (fast-pitch softball). I don't use it so can't give specifics but she says her hand no longer stings and wears it every time she catches. Its a must-have item for her now and it's doing the job so that sounds like 5 stars to me. I guess the only drawback is I though it was a tad expensive.

Shocked nobody else has issues with fit. My 9 year old son, who's totally average in size (weighs 69 lbs) cannot fit his hand in the glove at all..and I didn't expect it'd work either, as it's very very slim. It's seems plenty long. To be clear, he got a youth medium, like any other batting glove he'd get. We've had zero issues with batting gloves and sizing. This glove was far too slender to even get his hand in. Seems like nice padding, but we'd already removed the tags, as he never figured that he wouldn't be able to get them on. Waste of $25.

El producto es genial, pero ordené uno con orientación de mano de lanzamiento derecho (es decir que para mano izquierda) y me llegó uno para mano derecha. Ya lo devolví y lo volví a ordenar, espero que no sea un error sistemático y ahora sí lo reciba bien. Ya les contaré. Pero la calidad del guante y protección es de primera.
