Great Sander
I had always needed, (wanted one more like it), an orbital sander since they are so much more efficient than in-line electrical sanders. I had a project to finish the wooden sides on a hot tub, A BIG hot tub which would require much sanding. This sander was just perfect for the job and I'm so glad I now have it for other projects that WILL come my way. It would also do very well on automotive sanding if you need to use a body filler or sand old paint off. One thing I must caution you about. Make sure the air compressor you will use puts out the recommended constant operating CFM to run this sander. If you don't and you are sanding for more than 5 minutes constantly, you will have to wait for the compressor to catch up. Not the sander's fault, it states what it needs for an air supply and it's up to you to provide that or the sander will run slower and slower until you have to stop and let the compressor catch up.UPDATE 12/08/2013. THE SPECS ON THIS SANDER STATE AIR REQUIREMENT OF 8CFM, BUT THAT IS NOT UNDER A CONSTANT LOAD THAT A SANDER REQUIRES. WITH A CALL TO INGERSOLL RAND AND A LITTLE DIGGING, I FOUND OUT THAT THIS SANDER, ALTHOUGH IT WORKS GREAT, DOES NOT OPERATE OPTIMALLY UNDER CONSTANT SANDING. IF YOU SAND FOR HOURS ON END, THIS SANDER REQUIRES A CONSTANT 15.5CFM @ 90PSI. THAT'S A LOT OF AIR. JUST BE ADVISED.

Very good shop quality
Very good da I have been using it daily in a body shop environment for a few weeks sanding and buffing cars. I Accually like it better than my friends 300 dollar mac da because it doesn't vibrate as much as the mac at high speeds but it does feel a bit bigger so very good if you have big hands

No helpful instructions and no power
There are no instructions with the sander. The box includes 3 manuals that look intimidating, but they actually only have 1 or 2 pages in each manual that are actually in English and they are essentially worthless. There is no real information anywhere on how it should be connected, what is the max PSI to run the sander at, etc. The air inlet is not included (luckily I had an extra one laying around) and there are no instructions of how it should be connected. On top of that, the sander is weak and will barely spin. It must be spun up to a high rpm before you can use it and then if you apply any pressure at all, it ceases to spin. It is possible I am making an error in operating it,even though I have operated multiple air sanders before, but since there are no instructions to review to see if I am missing something, the sander is essentially worthless.

My new favorite sander
I keep it turned down to about 3/4 and my small air compressor maintains good psi all day long. This is much more efficient and easier to hold to shape Bondo than a traditional sander.

Excellent value
This was the best price on the market for this specific model made for polishing since the orbital of its mechanism are half of standard model on the market.
