MCS Trendsetter 20x30 Inch Poster Frame, Black (27030)

I got my 20x30 poster frame, and I have to say I am impressed. I purchased on of the same size from a different brand at similar price, and it sucked. I rolled the dice with this one and it paid off. The frame is actually assembled, a picture/poster is easy to put into the frame, and the back fastens nicely. The cardboard backing is a little flimsy, but for the price you can't complain. The best part is the plexiglass front. It's actually very clear and glossy. Miles better than the other brand I bought.

Frame breaks at the corners. It's made of plastic, and the metal corner pieces to hold frame together break out the plastic where it cannot be used or repaired. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Installation was a snap. It's very light weight so no worries about dropping a heavy frame on delicate items. (I put the print in this frame over a wine rack with liquor bottles on top). I can see where it may want to warp and am considering some pieces of double-sided mounting tape on the back to stabilize.

I ordered this in the hopes that I would be able to frame a poster that I have. I was somewhat concerned that It would be difficult to use. I received it and it is perfect!!! I was able to place the poster in the frame and replace the backing with no problem. It was easy. It looks great!! The frame has clean lines and a great clear front that allows the poster to be seen with no problem. I am more than happy! Well worth the price. Thank you!

This poster frame is constructed in a typical manner, with a black plastic frame, a clear plastic sheet, a cardboard backing with attached hangers, and bendable metal tabs that hold the cardboard backing in place. All very basic and apparently cheaply manufactured for an unreasonably inflated price. I only ordered it because I have three identically sized (20 x 30) prints I wish to hang in a room of my house. The prints, with frames, were presented to me as gifts some time ago, but unfortunately one of the side pieces on one of the original frames was lost in transport. The MCS Trendsetter was the closest that I could find in appearance to the other two intact frames and therefore I was forced to purchase it as a replacement to make the set match.The MCS product arrived with an assembly instruction sheet. It cautions the user in bold capital letters to not attempt to remove the plastic sheet from the frame, as it is secured to the frame and attempting to remove it may cause damage. Well, a problem occurred. The plastic sheet was indeed secured to the frame, clumsily, with adhesive, which had leaked and flowed and stuck to the cardboard backing as well. Trying to separate the cardboard from the frame and plastic sheet without causing damage was frustrating, time consuming, and required the use of a pocketknife and flat blade screwdriver. Once this was accomplished, the print fit fine and the frame hung easily. The cardboard backing did sustain minor damage, but since it is on the back, this is acceptable. Fortunately, no evidence of damage or mishap is visible from the front. This is why I rated the product two stars rather than one.To add insult to injury, the instruction sheet invites the user to participate in a product survey online. My intention was to rate the product there, but surprise, surprise, the survey is no longer available on the MCS website -- yes, it was a broken link, and exploring the site yielded no evidence of a survey of any kind.You win some, you lose some. I hope anyone else who spends money on an MCS frame is a winner, getting a better experience than mine.

MCS 27030 Trendsetter Poster Frame, 20 by 30-Inch, Black  I have been making collages of our family. We have 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren. My dear sister has two children that I am more a grandmother to than an aunt. I have used these frames for 11X14 collages of all the grandchildren and our children. They take less wall space than individual photos.This 20X30 frame worked great when I made a collage of my husband and me for our 50 years together. The frames are light weight, easy to use and very affordable. I highly recommend these frames and will buy more as I need them.

Great price but the styrene instead of glass was so reflective, I could hardly see the artwork I put in. I was aware the frame was not glass but the price was so great, I decided to purchase it. I ended up tossing the styrene sheet that was glued onto the frame and taped my artwork onto the back cardboard. I do like the sleek black frame though and now looks great. I would recommend this frame if you don't mind using it without the front styrene sheet.

This is a sad example of a frame. On the good side, It arrived nicely packaged. It does indeed have real glass. I guess that's where you're money is going. Now for the bad news. The frame is made of some kind of composite wood product, that does not have sufficient strength. Mine was warped like a potato chip. It does not lie flat on the wall. It is very flexible, so it's possible to secure the frame on four corners using the wall to flatten the frame. The frame itself is very thin. It is cheap looking.

I bought this to frame a BIG poster made from a photo I took of the statue of Bacchus in Florence (the Boboli garden, if memory serves.). I used, of course, to look the spitting image of Apollo, but the years go by and...well... enough said. This frame did the trick. It's not, probably, suitable for that multi-million dollar Vermeer you snaffled up at the garage sale for three bucks, but to hang a poster on the wall without looking like a feckless teen, this will do the job very nicely.
