KUREHA New Kure Plastic Food Wrap, Roll (Japan Import)

This is the best saran wrap I have ever used, hands down. I first started using Japanese cling wrap about 3 years ago when Lock & Lock sold it, but they no longer sell it, so I started buying it on Amazon. Yes, it costs a bit more than regular saran wrap you buy in the store. The reasons I pay for and swear by this product are: - IT ACTUALLY CLINGS! Unlike the US brands I've tried, this wrap actually sticks to the sides of whatever you're wrapping so you don't have to use a lot more wrap to get it to hold onto the bowl, plate, etc. - The clever Japanese manufacturing of the box it's in makes it super easy to tear off new pieces with one press of a finger rather than trying to tear along the entire cutting strip of the box while you're also trying to hold the wrap over the item you're wrapping. Tearing off new pieces of US brand wraps is always a hassle and you rarely get a straight line. - The wrap is thicker and of a higher quality than the US brands of cling wrap, which makes it stronger, microwaveable, and better seals off the air getting to the food. Because this Japanese wrap actually clings to things, I end up using less of it than when I was using US-made saran wrap, so I go through it slower. That helps me justify the cost. Before I run out of it, I also leave this wrap in my cart for a little while or mark it as a save for later item so I can try and get the best price. Amazon offers the best prices I can find.

I had heard how the Japanese plastic wrap was so much easier to handle and so far, it is. But if you get one part of the wrap on the other part, it takes quite a while to get them separated.

This is great stuff but the 50 meter box is a much better value

You'd think food wraps are all the same. I haven't been able to find any food wrap in the US that reliably clings. The New Kure wrap is the best because it works perfectly every time. My cousin who is a professional chef raved about it for months, so I had to try it. I highly recommend New Kure and hope it finds its way to my local market shelf soon! Until then, Amazon will be shipping it to me regularly. If you're not sure, just order one and I think you'll end up ordering it regularly too.

【良い点】 ✔︎ 「カチッ」と決まるV字刃の快感 毎日3回、夕食の残り保存やレンジ調理で使用。他社の安いラップだと端が見失いやすくてイライラしていましたが、これはフラップがしっかり端をキャッチしてくれるので、引き出す際の手間が劇的に減りました。 ✔︎ ピタッと吸い付く密着度 陶器のお皿でもプラスチック容器でも、空気が入らず密着します。レンジ加熱してもデロデロに溶けにくい安心感は、一度使うと離れられません。 【気になる点】 ✖︎ 20mはコスパ的に微妙 購入前に一番気になっていたのは「長さ」。20mだと毎日使っていると2週間強でなくなります。買い替えの頻度を考えると、50m巻を買った方が圧倒的に楽でした。 【総評】 「ラップの切り損じで時間を無駄にしたくない」人にはこれ一択。ストレス軽減効果は絶大です。ただ、頻繁に使う家庭なら、同じシリーズの50m版を選んだ方が満足度は★5になるはず。

買い忘れるので、定期便にしてます

こちらのラップはよく引っ付くので、 お皿に残したご飯などをラップして 冷蔵庫に片付けてもしっかり密閉されるため乾燥しません！ ただ、切り取り方がうまくいかないと 次使う時にラップ同士がくっついていて なかなか切れ目がわからず その点において使いにくい時もあるので ☆3です！！
