I like the build quality of this skimmer and the even the thinnest wire seems like the real high quality stainless and not chrome plated junk (I will report back if any rust). My only complaints are no wooden handle (I may make one myself) and that the ladle end is very cupped/ladle shaped and slightly deep compared to other wider, more flat skimmers I have used/preferred. Still this appears to be one of the best quality skimmers I've been able to find and I am someone easily offended by low quality tools. Probably the shape will not be a big issue, but I can make a case a wider flatter skimmer surface would be preferable.

Great for taking pasta out of a pot
I bought both sizes to use for homemade pasta and ravioli. Very nice to take pasta out of the pot without having to dump the semolina flour on top of your pasta in a strainer. Definitely recommend. The smaller size is better for ravioli and the larger is better for pasta.

Great all-round kitchen tool
Love this spider strainer! It’s 100% stainless steel so it can go into the dishwasher with out worrying about a wooden handle. This size is perfect for the home cook. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
