Surprisingly solid grip
I bought these grippers to avoid using clamps. I found them very easy to handle - all you do is place them underneath your piece of wood and a hard (clean) surface underneath and that's it. Price-wise they can't be beat as they replace clamps. I think they're size allows for several shapes and sizes of wood to be placed on top of them, as long as the surface if flat. They are solid. Overall, a great buy.

Really useful and well made little gadgets
Saw these being used on an American woodworking video so was chuffed to see them for sale in the UK. These are brilliant little gizmos that enabled me to use a makita palm router to finish the edge of a small oak shield with no other fixings or clamps. I was a little scared at first that these wouldn't hold the wood steady but they worked like a charm with no shifting or slipping whatsoever. I haven't yet had the opportunity to use the points on them to support something I am painting or varnishing but I like that they have that added function.

Great, but get them right way round!
Really effective bench dogs used horizontally. When using the points you need to pay attention to placing by making sure that each clamp is at 90 degrees to the adjacent one in both directions. This is illustrated in the product photos but that don’t stress it. If you have them all in the same direction then they wobble about and collapse. I learned the hard way!

Great for wood work.
I have been making some furniture (as a DIYer, not professional).. I wanted to spray paint some parts so needed something to raise the part off the floor. These worked really well. Not so stable when the pointed ends are upward and you need to be careful not to knock the piece as it is easy to topples easily. I used the rubber flat sides for what I needed. I also found they were useful when sanding surfaces as the grip the face well and keeps the component in place. I now have 2sets and would recommend.

Perfect, buy these!
Bought these for woodworking and they work perfectly. They keep the piece on the table with no damage to the underside.

Should have got sooner.
These bench cookies are great. Placing wood on top for sanding stops item moving around and on end are great for painting or as i do applying finish to wood. Should have got sooner. Reasonable value for money and there are others that cost a lot more. So impressed with these Milescraft Trigrips, i am going to get some more. Plus try a few other items i need made by them.

A staple in my workshop
First off, I thought this was quite gimmicky as I could just build one? But then I would have to cut the pieces, find a good rubber backing, its just not worth the time. However it has actually been pretty useful. The plastic is dense and the anti slip rubber works well. I’d say for the price, its worth it.
