Does exactly what is says and tackles ALL brakedust buildup!
I used Adams wheel cleaner on my BMW 328. If anyone is familiar with BMW, their OEM brake pads kick off a ton of dust and rims don't take long to look dark and dirty. . For years I have neglected the wheels on my car and let the brake dust accumulate. The front wheels suffering the most as they are responsible for the majority of the stopping force. I finally decided to get a professional wheel cleaner and settled on Adams because of their positive reviews and seemingly high regard among pros. I cleaned my wheels pretty thoroughly before using Adam's Wheel Cleaner because they were really bad but afterward I realized I didn't even have to. I sprayed it on straight from the bottle, no dilution, and as soon as the color started to change to a deep purple I grabbed my wheel brush and whoolie and went to town all over including all the way to the back of the drums. It foams up really well and gives off a very strong odor which I can honestly describe as a berry candy smell. It was not bad or suffocating, but I was outside which i would recommend. I did wear gloves while handling the cleaner as anything that dissolves metals is probably best not to have all over your skin. A quick rinse and dry with some microfiber towels and I can say my wheels haven't shone like this in years. My only negative takeaway was that I used almost half the bottle on my first use and for ~$14/bottle I will not be doing this very often. I wonder if I can dilute it but there were no instructions suggesting that. I will certainly be using this product again when my wheels need the love but in the meantime I will try and keep them this clean for as long as I can.

Absolutely a MUST for cleaning rims!
Adams products Rock! A buddy got me into this product line 3 years ago when I bought my new 2020 Chevy Colorado LT (love it!). Initially I scoffed a bit, but he lent me some stuff in the beginning and now I'm a big fan. This particular product cuts through street grime and break dust very, very well. I have 2 sets of alloy rims (all seasons on one and snows on other) and when I do seasonal changeover I always wash and clean the set I'm putting up in storage. This product takes dingy and makes it shiny!! I just spray it on front and back and then roll tire up and down driveway (so product doesn't just run off) until it gets kind of a purpley color (about 2 minutes), then give a quick scrub with nylon rim brush and spray off. Product warns you NOT to let it dry on anything so rinse well. Amazing results!!!

Good Product but Dawn Works Just As Well
I have used this on my 2024 Cayenne wheels for 18 months with good results. However, just for grins, today I tried Dawn dish soap in a bucket of warm water with my usual brush and was pleasantly surprised to see that it worked just as well. Because the Cayenne does not have the ceramic brakes, after several weeks it looks like the brilliant bright surface has been spraypainted black and Dawn and Adams takes it off Lickety split with no apparent damage to the wheel surface. As a caution, some wheels may not do as well with either of these.

It does a great job but would like to try other options.
Pros - this stuff works Cons - the sprayer has two different stream options both of which use too much product imo. - I used half the bottle on two spoke wheels on my Harley and one of my Benz wheels. Did a great job on the spokes. Wish I would have taken a before pic. You can see on the auto wheel that it started to flake. Only used on one car wheel and stopped after I saw it flaking. I used a hose to rinse not a pressure washer.

Works great apply on dry wheels
Was a little skeptical because I had a set of factory alloy wheels that had substantial build up of brake dust and corrosion from iron. I did my research and this product was a solid four star rating. It wasn’t the highest rated or highest priced. I followed the instructions and applied the product on dry rims. I let it set for 15 minutes while it turned purple. I used an aggressive 3m scrub pad and most of the built up brake dust and iron deposits came off. I applied one more coat of the Adams cleaner let it sit for ten minutes and scrubbed the rest of the corrosive iron build up off then pressured washed the wheels with hot water and the end result was impress without much effort. Very pleased with the cost, performance and end result. The only complaint, be are where you spray it on driveway surface, it will stain concrete or asphalt if you don’t rinse it immediately of the garage surface. Otherwise very impressive product works exactly as promised. Great value and great product.

It's like magic. The dirtier the wheel, the cleaner it is.
Alright, this stuff is EXPENSIVE and you'll use at least 1/3 the bottle on one wash. So in other words, this bottle will last 3 uses. However, I didn't really appreciate it until my third wash which I just had this weekend. Being winter, I find less time to wash my car. I really only have the weekends to choose from so I'm crossing my fingers for a warmish day (40-50deg) and hopefully with some overcast skies. Anyways, it has been awhile and with BMW brakes, the dust was there. My wheels looked like they were charcoal. Anyways, I rinsed them down (with a normal hose, not pressure washer unfortunately) which got some of the surface layer grime off. Sprayed them on liberally, agitating with a rim cleaning brush and a thicker bristle brush. Let it set for a few minutes and rinsed. HOLY SH*T! I was speechless. This thing really works when the rims are the dirtiest. The first two times I used it, my wheels weren't that dirty. But when you see it work on a brake dust caked wheel, you'll become a believer. The wheels were SO clean it looked like I took it off the car and polished the inside of them as well. It really got everything. I usually would come up afterwards with some detail spray and microfiber to hand clean the smaller nooks, but not this time. Not this time. My recommendation is fine a less heftier wheel cleaner for the not-so-dirty days so you aren't breaking your wallet. Reserve this for the dirty washes. I hear Griots is pretty good for the not-as-serious brake dust washes so I'm going to explore their product line a bit. This cleaner is going to make me poor.
