Repel Insect Repellent Sportsmen Stick, 1-Ounce, 6-pack

This insect repellent stick is a great supplement to traditional bug spray. It's easy to apply and useful particularly for areas like your face and neck where you might not want to spray with bug spray. It does take a while to apply, so it is best to use it in conjunction with bug spray and not necessarily as your only repellent, unless you have time to spare to apply it everywhere. It goes on clear and is very effective. I've used it for a trip to southeast Asia involving a jungle and a trip to Mexico and avoided bug bites. When used as a supplement to bug spray, one stick lasts about 7-10 days with a couple of applications per day. Additionally, the stick is good for traveling, as it's very small and is not subject to airport restrictions on liquids.

This stuff works very well. It is a nice compact item that lasts for many uses. I like not having to deal with an aerosol can. We had lots of mosquitoes this summer due to more rain than usual and these Repellent Sticks came in very handy. The containers seem to consistently work and the product can be applied to clothing or skin and goes on smoothly. It seems to be effective for several hours. We learned that most of the mosquitoes we had were biting on our forearms this season, so we found that applying the repel stick to arms or sleeves and just dotting it on forehead back and legs worked pretty well. Just don't leave these sticks lying in the hot sun...

My daughter used this for her school Fall camp. They didn't allow spray cans so I had to get this. The coverage wasn't as wide as the spray can, because she had to rub it to spread it out. However, it's very small and portable. The main problem she had was that she had to keep pushing on the back in order to apply it and that was not very easy to do for her.

I have used this Insect Repellant for several years now. I used to buy it in the Sporting Goods section of several "big box" stores, but now have to buy it online. I like the convenience of the push up "dry roll on"; the package size and portability and HOW GREAT IT IS FOR KEEPING gnats, mosquitoes, no-see-ums and the rest either away from me or dead on me! The only down side is that the "push-up" leaves a small chunk of repellant in the bottom. What I do is scrape out the "leftovers" and pack it like scooped ice cream into one container and start over. Or, you can just throw it out, but why waste. Sometime, the manufacturer will re-configure the packaging so there is NO waste. In the meantime, this stuff is GRRRREAT!

I put this on my two kids ages 5 and 3. Worked fine for one - no bites after 2 hours. another one still got bites - far fewer than she would normally get, but I still think this product works better than other things I have tried. Have not tested it all day, but I would expect it to not last all day. it's small enough that you can carry it easily in a purse and reapply throughout the day. use liberally and you'll see results.

I bought this to carry while hiking and trail running. I use a liquid repellent prior to hitting the trail, but I don’t like to carry it. I bought this rub on repellent to carry with me for “touch up” when the bugs get really pesty. I’ve used it a few times now and it seems to be effective, so I will continue to carry it through mosquito and tick season.

Excellent product and compact for travel or backpacking. The stick was hard to push up to use first time and needed some strength in the thumb. Otherwise product worked well and I was able to use just a little then rub around on my skin. Was clean, non-sticky and no odor. Shared with others and they all liked also.

Love this Repel insect stick. Cutter used to make one and stopped making it. I was so glad to find this stick. It's easy to carry, it's not messy going on, and it really works. I use it walking late in the day in my neihborhood, and when we go hiking. The only thing that is not perfect is the stick won't stay up as you roll it on, and you have to hold the bottom. A minor inconvenience. The Cutter stick always stayed pushed up But I highly recomment the Repel stick insect repellent. I love the service from Amazon. I ordered the stick one day and it came within two days.
