PILOT Iroshizuku Bottled Fountain Pen Ink, Murasaki-shikibu, Japanese Beautyberry (Purple) 50ml Bottle (69221)

This ink is a nice shade and looks great. I am using 100gsm paper, and an Asvine <F> nib. This is the only ink I have ever had feather, ghost, bleed through to the 3rd page, and run on this 100gsm paper. This ink is just way too thin. Nice color, but it behaves very poorly for me. *UPDATE* I was convinced that I somehow got a substandard bottle of ink and that I should try another bottle as Iroshizuku ink is so well regarded. So, I did. I ordered another bottle of the exact ink to give it a try. I did not have high hopes. I am glad I did. My new bottle of ink is awesome. I used the exact same journal/notebook, and the ink writes like a dream. No ghosting, feathering, bleed through, or even shadowing, and definitely no running or pooling. This is just an excellent ink that lubricates well and writes like a dream. I see why this ink is so well regarded. I don't know if my two ink bottles were of different batches, the first on was somehow compromised, or why it didn't work out for me, but the second bottle of ink I received is just simply awesome. If you receive a bottle that seems watery, try another bottle. This ink is worth the effort. I increased my review to 5 stars.

Outstanding ink. Writes smoothly and dries fairly quickly. A beautiful shade of purple, I currently have a Webson-Gill Admiral (M nib) inked with it and it's been consistently smooth. One of my favorites.

Love this ink. Has nice flow and a great color! It works well in my pilot prera fountain pen. Good purchase and I would recommend it!

Lovely true purple - light to medium ink. The bottle is so beautiful as well. If you wondered about the little point in the bottom as I did - it's so that you can suck up the ink with your pen when the bottle is almost empty.

Pilot INK is always great to use. It is beautiful on my office table.

A bright lovely easy flowing purple ink, I love it! Dark enough to be clearly legible, works fine on cheap paper using a fine or xf nib. I wish it was archival but otherwise this is almost perfect.

Pilot Fountain Pen Ink Always Awesome!

I bought the Twsbi Eco in purple eggplant and this ink matches the pen beautifully! It a great color for writing with! I have about 6 different colored inks in the Pilot iroshizuku brand and love how great all my fountain pens write with this ink. Smooth and wet but dries quickly too.

It's a good color ink with great flow. Opening and closing the bottle is smooth. All in all it's good 👍

Une pure merveille made in Japan ! J'utilise cette encre depuis plusieurs années et malgré quelques infidélités de temps à autre, c'est toujours vers elle que je reviens.
