Comfortable, but........
Wearing these daily has been great, BUT they are too weak to assist in carrying a full-size pistol. I have no waist to speak of, so no matter what kind of thickened gun-belt I wear, I still have to cinch it down tightly making it uncomfortable. For leaving the belt at a more normal tension, I got these to help keep my belt at its proper height, but the suspenders are a bit weak for that. I have to tighten them far too much to help with the weight, adding quite the tension onto my shoulders for the thick elastic to pull and pinch while I go about my day to day. Will be ordering a set of their "construction non elastic" suspenders that only have elastic on the back strap to the belt asap.

It works well.
My son recommended this item, which he said works well and is comfortable. I tried it and agree with his assessment.

Front strap gap a little too wide causing spontaneous unbuckling.
I have had and used the smaller width perry suspenders for years. I have lost weight and needed to down size. This pair has two inch straps to the front which is fine for my needs. I wear them when working outside on the yard and mowing grass etc.I like the fact that they hook easily to the belt and just as easily can be un-hooked when the job is done. However: The gap on the buckles of the front straps is too large and this allows the strap to unbuckle on its own. I have taken to twisting them around backwards so the clip in on the inside of the belt to prevent this but it is not an ideal solution.I plan on taking a heat gun and if it is a thermoplastic I should be able to soften and close the gap down some. My previous perry suspenders didn't have this problem and the gap on the front straps was tighter.UPDATE: Using a heat gun set to 750 degrees I laid the buckles on a work table with the clip side up. Pressing down on the clip with a metal rod laid parallel to the buckle I carefully heated the top of the buckle. Within a few seconds the plastic clip yielded and I was able to press the clip down flush with the arms. I removed the heat while maintaining pressure with the metal rod and allowed the clip to cool for 20 seconds or so. The clip had some spring back but the gap was much smaller. That seems to make the fit on my belt snugger and more secure.. If the gap is still too much then the next time I will use the metal rod vertical to the clip and push the clip all the way to the table top not just flush with the arms and see if that works better.Edit 2: Have been using these suspenders for various jobs and they are working great. The buckles stay clipped to the belt. The two inch wide straps are very comfortable across the shoulders. Would give these a 5 star rating if they didn't require the modification.

Light duty suspenders, great for casual use.
Comfortable and easy to d'on, d'off great for casual use.Use dominators, Paracord, Bungie, 3 bar slides or wedge something between clip and belt too keep fronts in place if the belt is on thin side or just won't stay where they need to be. Poor wear resistance, slightest scuff will fuzz it up, but you can lightly brush it out, or flame whip the loose fibers. Definitely does what it was intended for, just don't tighten belt & suspenders too much otherwise they'll stretch, because there only ment too hold maybe up to 8lbs worth like your pants, phone, wallet, & other EDC Gear.

Benefits out weigh the liabilities
Like many others, I too am a veteran of the "clip on" suspenders, both the "Y" fashion and the "X" fashion. Although I never had the problem of clothes ripping, my problem was that the clips either didn't hold or just break. I purchased these despite wanting an "X" pattern as I wanted a pair of suspenders that would work with my garrison belt without cutting into me for being to tight. These suspender do just that.Comfortable across the shoulders and torso, they hook on easily so long as you drape the straps correctly. I didn't initially put them on backwards. The still worked, but were a pain to apply. Realized my error when I tried to adjust the straps.I thought that by having a thick, heavy duty garrison belt, the clips would be tight and prevent the suspenders from falling off. I was wrong. This is the only reason for 4 stars against 5. I do like the suspenders as the do hold up my trousers and I don't carry that much in my pockets, (wallet, keys).

Very good quality, though 1 1/2" size sent; 2" ordered
I have had and enjoyed several pair of the 1 1/2" Perry suspenders with the clip-on-the-belt design over the past several years.Good: they do not just snap off of the pants when you have any weight in the pockets like the clip-on type of suspenders. They are easier to don and doff than button-on suspenders and, when new, they maintain adjustment fairly well. The plastic clips are very sturdy and durable and I have not had any break in over 2 years wearing. The 2" ones seem to hold their adjustment better than the 1 1/2" ones. When there was an error in the shipping from the third party seller, Amazon provided a return mail label and credited my account with both the purchase price and the shipping cost as soon as they received the returned suspenders. When I re-ordered two more pair, they came in without any problems and were both 2".Bad: as they age, they slide out of adjustment progressively more easily causing pants to sag and requiring periodic re-adjustment. After a year or so, the elastic material begins to fray at the edges at the end clips and also some where you usually adjust them at the adjustment slider. Specifically, in this order, one of the two pair of 2" suspenders I ordered was sent as 1 1/2" suspenders instead of the 2", though I was billed for the 2" ones. I had to pay for the return shipping on the shipping error. As noted above, I ordered 2 more pair, in spite of the shipping error, since I really think they are the best FUNCTIONAL suspenders available.
