Excellent ... Very detailed work of art.
I do not normally write reviews. But for this one after purchasing it on July 10 2016 and finishing it July 02 2021, 5 years later, I thought I should write a review. If you are looking for something to color in your spare time and are patient then this is a great purchase. If you are looking for something you can sit down and just color in a day then this is not for you. Buy it... Have fun with it... Take a load off... Stress free time !!!This took me so long to complete because I wanted it to look as real as possible so I was very particular in my colors ... which I used a lot of different brands and mediums. This picture has Crayola, Prima Scholar, Prisma Premier, Prisma Verithin, Arteza, Tombow, Tombow Recycled, Staedtler, Koh R Polychromos, Derwent, Farber Castlell (water color), Laneco, Ubrand (from Costco), Blick, Soho, Guano Hui, Nyoni (water Color), and I am sure there a few I cant remember. I have to say that I cant truly decide on a favorite brand. Each brand did what I needed them to do. Some are more "dusty" than others and some are harder to put down in tiny spaces.Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to loose themself in their art.On a side note after reading some of the comments... Please remember when you are purchasing this that it is suppose to be from the Medieval times... it is not meant to portray our recent times......ie our beliefs and way of life. Just have fun with it, Dont stress the little things. If there is something you dont like about the picture change it...it's that simple. Hope you enjoy !

Lots of Details in this Book
I love this book. It contains very detailed art which I am thoroughly enjoying, sometimes having to use a magnifying glass for the very small areas. I looked up medieval clothing to get an idea of colors worn during that time period and am trying to stay with a subdued color scheme. This is my first greyscale book which is printed on card stock with 8 panels that can be folded out as you color and then displayed in a panoramic accordion style if desired. This is going to require many hours of coloring with my colored pencils along with gel pens on some of the small details. I will have four books in this series as soon as the "Fairies" book arrives.

Another beautiful illustration in this series
This is the 2nd book I purchased in this series. I only gave 4 stars because there are too many shadings on the drawing. I cannot use color pencils to do my own. I think the artwork is not originally intended to be a coloring book. Nevertheless, the illustration is absolutely beautiful. I enjoy coloring this a lot. There are images in the back with descriptions and they can be colored as well.Paper quality is excellent and is probably one of the thickest in the market. There are 8 of 8" x 6 5/6" panels with total width of 53 3/8" but you don't need to open all to color. It is easy to lay it flat to work on.I recommend this book.

Awesome Fold Out Colouring Project
This is a colouring book with a difference in that it folds out to one long, continuous page with medieval street scenery on it. Imagery is highly detailed, so not suitable for anyone who doesn't enjoy colouring finer details.

great idea and art!
this is so wonderful and unique. it is not for the faint of heart. it has SO many little details you might become discouraged. i have a few different projects going on at the same time so when feeling a bit overwhelmed with medieval times i would switch to another drawing. one of which was the Picture fold-out book Fairies.we have a facebook group if anyone is interested in seeing other members photos. the group is called โfold-out coloring booksโthis is "In Progress." since i scanned these pics i have continued to work. now the entire horizontal center is finished. still debating on what to do with the roofs.

and i'm pretty annoyed. First off
Just got this, and i'm pretty annoyed. First off, it's a panoramic image, which isn't - as of the time of my purchase - expressed clearly on the description. It's mentioned, yes, but I got the impression there was more to it than just those 8 panels. Its' only after I looked at the dragons title that i realized it was simply 8 images in a pull out.Second? The images are beautiful, but coloring is going to be a pain - theres more shading than anything. Woman's clothing comes shaded in black, trees are already full of shading to give the illusion of bark, and brick on the houses is already dark as well. The market stall scene is fascinating, except again it's fully shaded. Also, the pictures are quite small, though the dimensions may have been mentioned. The book is made of pretty sturdy cardboard, although it came with a few minor rips in one corner on the front. The paper itself is I believe card stock - relatively sturdy, smooth, and pretty thick. On the back side of the panorama is a series of images with small text blurbs - I like this, it gives a sense of context & background information. They can be colored as well, although again shading is pretty prominent.Overall, in terms of artwork - it's beautiful. In terms of a coloring book? Could be pretty frustrating, depending on how well the shading works with my prismacolor pencils. I'm going to go with 1 star because the product description really could use some clarification. If people want pictures let me know.

Great coloring fun for adults!
I like the fold out style, the illustrations are great and the paper (heavy) is perfect for colored pencils. Really like this!

Works great for gel pens, too!
I didnโt see any reviews mentioning gel pens, which is primarily what I use, but I took a chance on this book because I read that the pages were cardstock. No regrets! I love the illustrations and Iโm happy with the way it looks with gel pens.I just started but here is a sample pic.

Awkward size. Extremely small. Not worth the money.
Extremely dissatisfied. Compared to other ones, this one is extremely small. it has one page that folds out. In order to colour it, you need a table thats atleast 3ft long to spread it out without creating new folds.Don't waste your money, I wish I didnt break the seal so i could send it back.awful, awful.

Great product
Lovely item. I can't wait to start coloring. As the description says it is not a book per se but a spread, the book is of a good size for travel.
