Only ***THREE*** Episodes But Still Worth It!!!
Although there are only three episodes on POIROT: SERIES 4 BLU-RAY it still isn't the shortest one in the series (that belongs to Series 7 & 8 which only have two episodes each) and has a combined running total of about 319-minutes, so it's still worth it.Again, as in previous "Poirot Series," meticulous attention to detail from sets to costumes make the Agatha Christie stories come alive! David Suchet continues on brilliantly and now I see why there are many fans of this series, and in particular for him as the actor.Image quality on the Blu-Rays is superb but there are some shots that will appear overly grainy and noisy, which might have to do with the source material and how that scene was lit. I'm not sure if that's the reason why it happens, but that only appears in certain shots and not throughout each episode.Strangely, Pauline Moran "Miss Lemon" is missing from these episodes and Hugh Fraser as "Captain Hastings" appears in only one; Philip Jackson as "Chief Inspector Japp" appears in these, however. I was wondering why and then I read it's because the characters weren't in the original stories -- and sometimes they were written in especially for the TV show -- so that explains their absence. Though they're missed it doesn't interfere with viewing pleasure.I find myself completely captivated by the show and so I definitely recommend getting this set. Unfortunately there are no special features on this set.

one of Christie's best, was not disappointing on film
This and season 9 were the two strongest Poirot seasons. Series 4 presented 3 classics, all very well done:The ABC murders, one of Christie's best, was not disappointing on film. Staying on plot, this film version neatly tells the tale of Poirot's search for a serial killer who uses the alphabet and ABC railroad guides to lead the merry chase. Donald Sumpter turns in an outstanding performance as Cust; the rest of the cast is strong. A good outing.Death in the Clouds -- one of my least favorite of her stories, this film version is excellent, with notable performances by Catheryn Harrison as Lady Horbury and the main cast. Sylish and engrossing, it is a job well done, though if you're paying attention, you can solve the mystery yourself. One Two, Buckle My Shoe, an excellent adaptation of the original story, really can't say much to criticize. Watch for Christopher Eccleston and enjoy! Very well done.

Great detective show
Poirot is an addictive show. It draws you in to watch one more episode, until you end up watching several, at least! What I most appreciate about this show is that the characters each use polite manners! There is no foul language. This is a clean, family show. Perhaps not for too young as the show is usually about a murder that is being solved. The character of Poirot is complimentary to others. He is polite in all his endeavors. In later episodes he does show brief moments of being stern and may raise his voice, but that is not his norm. He is a true gentleman. We do not see this anymore, so this is probably why I appreciate the show so much. That is one aspect. Of course there is the solving of a mystery, too! I think they are cleverly solved and are engaing to the viewer. This is a rare find! Quite enjoyable.

The product is of good quality-- no pixelation
The seller was prompt. The product is of good quality-- no pixelation, no flaws. The main characters are like old friends. And activating one's own little gray cells to solve the mysteries from the comfort of the couch is entertaining. The series follows the Grand Finale Format in which all of the suspects are gathered in one place while Poirot summarizes his process and eliminates the most likely candidates one by one as he homes in on the culprit. Fans of Miss Lemon should know that she is not a part of this series.

"You little..........jackanapes!"
More terrific mysteries featuring Hercule Poirot (David Suchet), three feature length movies on three disks. The first concerns a series of murders seemingly unrelated but for the alphabetical order of the victim's names. Hastings returns from a trip just in time to help his friend solve the case ("what does a madman look like?"). My favorite scene shows the two men in Poirot's kitchen washing dishes. The second mystery involves several flights Poirot would rather not take, a blackmailer, and too many suspects with perfect alibis ("I didn't know she was going to be murdered.").The third mystery is a heady mixture of confusion when too many seemingly insignificant people are murdered.I can't get enough of these excellent productions. I feel obligated to watch them all in one sitting.

Always enjoy this series of great mysteries
Always enjoy this series of great mysteries.Would like the music arrangement done differently. At times interferes with the viewing. Have to turn up to hear the dialogue, and down for the loud music.
