LOVE THAT PARACORD!
I ordered this paracord for a specific purpose, but have found several other uses as well. I ordered it to use as a sort of binder around the edges of a net that is anchored to little posts around my koi pond. An egret likes to come and "dine" on my pretty fish, which is both heartbreaking and costly. A net has been the only dependable solution, but nets stretch and sag along the edges. The paracord, just woven through the openings in the net, provides a solid margin that doesn't stretch. However, since I had so much of the cord, I've found other uses as well. I have a beautiful climbing rose in a flowerbed which has a vertically-sheared eleagnus hedge growing and trained flat against a fence behind the bed. Using short lengths of the paracord, I have been able to secure the canes of the climbing rose to the stout support offered by the eleagnus hedge, and it's lovely. I looks like the hedge itself is blooming! Also, I grow irises, and some of the bloom stalks are nearly four feet tall, with a heavy cluster of beautiful irises in bloom on the upper portion. They tend to fall over or be blown over, and broken. I used the soft, non-cutting paracord to tie those tall bloom stalks to bamboo stakes pushed into the ground beside them. The stake virtually disappears, but the iris is supported. I love the paracord because it doesn't cut into the stems. When the irises were done, I just untied the paracord and stored the pieces in a plastic bag, to be used again next spring when the irises bloom again.I strongly recommend keeping a skein of paracord around. You'll find many uses for it.

Fantastic cordage
Without question some of the best paracord I've ever used. I also like it's a US company as I try to support them as much as I can. Extremely strong and durable and rounded shape and size creates a very good bite when making knots. I have a number of tents and outdoor items in which I have replaced all the cordage on everyone with this paracord. Me do not really need it but this is so much stronger I felt better having it. Would highly recommend this product and something I would also recommend when keep for emergencies in vehicle

A good rope to have around.
The Paracord 850 is exactly as depicted in the photos and described in the sales promo. The rope has many uses in hiking, camping, boating, lashing down items, hanging laundry, as shoelaces for hiking boots or as an improvised belt, craft accessories (bracelets, key chains etc.) or wherever a rope is needed. The rope is basically a 550 Paracord, 4 mm or 5/32” thick with a braided nylon sheath encasing a 8-core of triple-strand yarn. It is strong enough for most routine chores (breaking strength at 150 lbs). The cord is water, rot and mildew resistant. When soiled, simply hose it down with water to clean.A sharp blade easily cuts through the rope. To prevent fraying; put a tight knot at the cut-end or, better still, melt the ends with a flame. The 100 ft/31 meters length of rope weighs only 185 grams and is easy to carry in a backpack. I carry one in my camping gear and another (red) in the trunk of my car.The Paracord 850 cord is one of many generics of equal quality, available now on the market. They come in different colors and combinations.

but it stretched for a good 20 ft
I purchased this 850 lb. paracord to have cordage in my Get-Home/Bugout bag with increased strength as compared to standard 550 cord. If you haven't noticed, 550 cord is already extremely strong for most anything but technical climbing. As an infantry Marine, I remember us pulling a Ford F-350 out of the mud with a Humvee using nothing but 100 ft. of 550 cord. We just doubled it up until it was about 4 ft. long. Most of us thought it would snap for sure, but it stretched for a good 20 ft. but never snapped, pulling the F-350 out. So if 550 cord can do that, one would think 850 cord could handle quite a bit.One of the main reasons I bought this 850 cord was to use as lightweight hammock straps. When paired with my ENO Sub-7 hammock and an ultra-sil tarp, you're looking at a complete hammock system (minus over and under quilt) that weighs less than 2 pounds. Ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain. The lighter your base weight, the more room you have for ammo or beer, as the case may be.

Perfect
I bought this to make a lightweight long leash for my 25-pounder furbaby when I walk him off path in a big open field. It's perfect. It dries quickly. It doesn't smell or get heavy when it gets wet. I cut it in half and was able to use a match on the cut end to melt it so it won't fray. If I was the type of person to jump out of planes on a regular basis, I would definitely use this rope. 🤣

not from shinbari
good paracord. Great for survival use, securing prisioners prior to waterboarding, axe and machete grips. Not great for shinbari. Small diameter wants to cut in and leave marks. Suggest a silk or cotton based rope for that.

I like the fact that its a lightweight paracord
I am a beginner, trying to prepare a bug out bag. I have ZERO experience in any survival/camping/hiking equipment so I can't say how well this works. I wouldn't know. However, I like the fact that its a lightweight paracord. I expected it to be heavy since its a 100ft. I haven't used it and probably won't until there is an emergency and need to use it so I can't say how well it works. If you are looking to see if this is a good quality paracord, I am not the person to get an opinion from. I went from other people's reviews.
