READ IT.... YOU'LL LIKE IT!
I'm not sure that this book is my favorite of Lewis's. He seems to strain at some of the topics he discusses. But when he explains sexual activity and bases it on his friends from Moreland as well as nationally, then his writing becomes both clever and entertaining. It's more of the Lewis we have come to anticipate and enjoy.Four stars aren't potted meat, so you won't go wrong reading this selection. In fact, I encourage you to do so. The references made towards Richard Nixon, Ronald Regan and Henry Kissinger are great humor. The word picture that Lewis painted remains burned in my mind and brings great smiles and joy. Read and enjoy. Lewis is always an unexpected and pleasant adventure.

Lewis Grizzard was the most fantastic writer.
I know we can't bring him back, but having his books again is almost as good. Grizzard was an amazing columnist and author. Want to read something similar. Get Life is Hard. Soften it With Laughter. similar writings and observations. No one will every be better than Grizzard, though.

he will regale you with tales of his love for Clemson
As a boy, I was a porcine child that just wanted to laugh and escape the world. I had stayed with my Uncle while my mother was in the hospital for a treatment. My uncle is a worldly fellow, even if only in his own mind, and had a considerable library of books. The cover of one struck me. It was a man dressed in a varsity jacket and a white t, slicking his hair back. This was Lewis Grizzard and the book was "I Haven't Understood Anything Since 1962". This is not that book, but it is written by the same author. He has a self-deprecating wit and often times dips into the nostalgia of growing up in Georgia. Grizzard is self described as "An American by birth and a Southerner by the grace of God." If that makes you eye-roll, the book probably isn't for you. If you chuckle at the idea of it, he will regale you with tales of his love for Clemson, Weyman C Wannamaker and more. 11/10 would read while bending over in the garden.

A funny read!
I really loved this book. Yes, it’s about sex but it’s pretty funny and not so graphic it might offend your granny!

Typical Lewis
Another funny Southern book. If you want a book you can pick up and put down frequently if you’re in a place where you can’t read for long amounts of time, choose any one of Grizzard’s books. They’re all good.

If you want humor, you can't go wrong with Lewis Grizzard!
I read all of Mr. Grizzard's books years ago, as soon as they came out. Now I'm reading them once again and enjoying all of them. His titles are outstanding!A lot of people don't know or don't remember that Lewis Grizzard appeared in several episodes of the series "Designing Women."
