Great Terrariums for your little friends
They are great terrariums and are an amazing upgrade for bearded dragon and tortoise. They are easy to assemble, less than 30 minutes and its a fairly straight forward process since all glass is labeled. It provides a large space and cheaper than same sized alternatives while keeping a good quality and look. The mesh they used for the lid is also big enough to let uvb in without compromising its effectiveness like smaller meshed screens do. While not to heavy on its own i did need help moving it because of its size so you might want to assemble in its final spot of your on your own. One thing I wish they will do is wrap the doors the same way they wrapped the rest of the glass since what they used did smudge the glass a bit and a little hard to get off.

Very nice, big, easy to assemble, and sturdy
I really, really, like this tank. I bought it for my 2 year old northern blue tongue skink and he fits in it nicely. Very happy with my purchase and I think my bluey enjoys the added extra space too. I highly recommend tanks from these guys! CONS: - STANDS: Finding a stand/desk big enough to house it was difficult, which I did end up finding an all wood desk at IKEA that fit the bill nicely (the Hemnes model if you're looking for the same). - BASKING TEMPERATURES: The other thing I have trouble with is getting the basking spot to be hot enough and I'm already using a 160w bulb. I want temps to be somewhere around 100-110 but they're only reaching about 95. It's not bad but I still want to be able to give him the option of being warmer if he wants. I got a higher basking "rock" though that's got stairs to get him closer to the light so I think that will solve the problem for me. - LOOSE STYROFOAM IN PACKAGING: When I took the bottom part of the tank and the top mesh pieces out of the box they were covered in tiny styrofoam bits but that's nothing a little canned air and a wet cloth can't solve. The panel pieces are individually protected in plastic wrap though so I didn't need to clean those off. - PLASTIC FEET: I would have liked the bottoms of the feet to be lined in some kind of rubber. It slides around on the desk a little too easily for my comfort zone. I ended up getting one of my extra drawer liners and cut out 4 pieces to put under each foot to keep it from sliding since it's made of some kind of rubber. It works perfectly. PROS: - PACKAGE PROTECTION: The package was protected very well. There was styrofoam in the first box to keep the second smaller box inside nice and snug so it wouldn't move around. To add to that, there was more styrofoam in the second box to further protect and cushion the glass inside. All of my pieces arrived in perfect condition. - FRONT DOORS: I love that this tank has front door options instead of having only a mesh top. I'm short so it would have been difficult for me to reach inside without standing on a stool or chair. Both of the front doors open and suction cups were given to use as handles for each sliding door. The suction cups have not fallen off since I built the tank almost two weeks ago and they are still going strong. It locks and unlocks smoothly too. I added a chain on my key to connect it to its suction cup so I can keep it in the lock at all times, but still have it connected to the suction cup in case it falls out. Otherwise I would have to take the suction cup off the tank every time I want to lock and unlock it. - STURDY MESH TOP: The mesh is thicker than most cage tops I usually see on tanks and I really like that. I'm confident about leaving the heat lamp directly on it if I need to without having to worry about the weight of the lamp disconnecting the mesh from the frame and falling into the tank (might just be me). The top of this cage does not move, budge, or bow at all to the weight of my lamp being placed on top of it and I have the biggest size you can get. I still have my lamp connected to a stand though since I went ahead and bought one. It also looks really nice since it's black like the frame. - ASSEMBLY: It was completely painless and easy to assemble. I'm a 100lb tiny woman and I was able to assemble it within 30-40 minutes after cleaning the styrofoam off. I needed some assistance from my fiance to get the bottom part of the tank on the desk since the bottom portion of the cage is already assembled for you (it's water sealed for you) and was too heavy for me to lift alone. There's also stickers up in a corner of every glass panel piece to designate where the panels go in the tank. Also, there's spots in the back corners of both mesh top pieces to run cords through that you can keep closed if you're not using them which was an original concern of mine.

Best Tank Ive found at this size!
PROS and CONS listed at the bottom This tank is so amazing and great for the price. I have been searching for about a couple of weeks and this company made it easy to purchase, unlike the other brands who are averaging a turnaround of 4-8 weeks. My bearded dragon just turned 3 and she was coming from a 40-gallon tank that only opened at the top. I also had her on a paper towel or newspaper substrate. I went bioactive and needed a tank that was deep enough to allow for multiple plants and for my bearded dragon to be able to burrow in the substrate. The breathability of this tank is unreal - compared to other brands this doesn't have the vents in front but that doesn't matter. The screen mesh on top of the cage is really large and allows adequate airflow and also prevents insects or other critters from climbing out. Also, I have two UVB strip Lights, a t5 Plant Grow light, a Basking Heat bulb, and a ceramic heat emitter for if it gets too cold at night. With all of these different fixtures and lights, I haven't seen any change in my beardies' behavior. THE SCREEN MESH ISNT FILTERING A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT AND IS DOING ITS JOB WELL SO IT WILL STAY OUTSIDE OF THE TANK. WIth other brands, you may have to place the UVB strips or bulbs inside the tank because the screen mesh filters a good amount of the UVB before it reaches your pet. MY BEARDIE LOVES THIS TANK WAY MORE AND SHE IS ALWAYS MOVING AROUND AND EATING THE PLANTS IF SHE ISNT BASKING. I have nightcrawlers (earthworms), springtails, Dwarf White Isopods, and Powder Orange Isopods in the tank as my clean-up crew and this is all possible because this tank is long, deep, and overall just HUGE lol. Also in case, anyone is wondering the bioactive setup I have is from the Biodude. PROS: 1. Setup is easy, took about 20 minutes 2. The package was secure and the company went above and beyond to make sure the glass wasn’t damaged in shipping. They use several different boxes and foam to separate the glass pieces so they don’t crack. 3.The mesh screen is perfect and doesn’t affect UVB and other lights sitting on top of it. Your reptile will reap the benefits of whatever light sources you put on top of the mesh. I RECOMMEND A (10.0 UVB NOT A 5.0 ) IM USING A 150 WATT BASKING HEAT BULB. 4. The company sent me a PDF and gave me instructions on how to contact them in case my order was damaged during shipping 5. The company sent me my product really fast and shipping was a breeze. 6. The tank is large and deep and is perfect for BIOACTIVE SETUPS 7. One Person Can set this tank up but it is required you have help when moving the box that it is shipped in 8. Sliding doors to allow for easy access. 9. MY bearded dragon is 3 years old and she fits in this perfectly and has enough room to run, borrow, eat and etc. 10. The Tank comes with a LOCK key to lock the enclosure and it’s a simple design that works for me. Other people have mentioned the suction cups that the tank comes with often don’t stick well but honestly, I haven’t had an issue with them. They are small and the suction cups function as doors to your sliding doors. You can always by seperate suction cups if it happens to be an issue for you. Cons: None I have about 10 plants in my enclosure and she has been nipping at a good portion of them.

The Perfect Mansion For My Baby Florida Blue & Gold Thamnophis sirtalis
Update: 21-May-2021, @ 1830 Hours PDT: I changed my mind about getting an Australian Bearded Dragon. I decided to get two baby Florida Blue & Glod Thamnophis sirtalis (Common Garter Snake) They will arrive Thursday, 27-May-2021, from Melbourne, Florida. I finished the interior design. I can’t wait for them to arrive into their mansion. I hope they will be happy and feel at home. /s/ Alfonso Faustino Hi, all. I am new to the reptile community; I will be getting two baby Thamnophis sirtalis (Blue and Gold Florida Common Garter Snakes); but, before I acquire them, I need to set up their mansion; so, they can leisure around and explore. They are very inquisitive animals. I wanted to get a mansion for them; hence, I purchased the Carolina Custom Cage Terrarium. I got the large one: 48” x 18” x 18”. I also purchased the low profile Reptile 34” TH5HO UVB + Double GU10 Basking Light Fixture. My present interior design consists of a burrow, made with 15 pounds of Excavator Clay. I have 2.5 inches of substrate consisting of organic materials: Orchid Bark, Potter Soil, Coconut Chips, Sphagnum Moss. So, here is my experience with my Carolina Custom Cages Terrarium Extra Long Easy Assembly: Ease Of Assembly: 5-stars: It took me about 10 minutes or so once I unpacked all the components of the terrarium; Sturdiness: 5-stars: Once I put on the top cover and screwed it down, all the glass panels locked down and created a sturdy and safe home for my soon-to-be two baby Thamnophis sirtalis, as well as being a safe decorative piece in my own home; Easy To Clean: TBD — I don’t have my two baby Thamnophis sirtalis; but, I’m sure the Carolina Enclosure will be easy; because, of the removable top screen and the sliding front glass panels; Intelligently Engineered And Designed: 5-stars: It is truly a wonderful experience when engineering and artistic design come together to create a product that is a functional and aesthetically pleasing to the human senses; Creature Comfort: TBD: I’m sure, once I purchase my two baby Thamnophis sirtalis, they will feel comfortable, safe, and happy with their mansion. Customer Service: 5-stars: About an hour or so after I received my Terrarium Extra Long Easy Assembly, Carolina Custom Cages sent me an email to make sure I was happy with my product and promised me they are available to me for any concerns I might have with the terrarium. I wrote back to let them know all is swell; and, they responded in an expedient manner. Well, I will update my review once I get my two baby Thamnophis sirtalis. I will heat up the mansion and study the temperature activities and make the appropriate adjustments. Once that is done, the mansion will be ready to accept my two baby Thamnophis sirtalis. Great job, Carolina Custom Cages — keep up the great work — you’re aces! Check 6! /s/ Alfonso Faustino

Freaking fantastic
This is the 2nd enclosure I've purchased from Carolina Custom and, once again, they do not disappoint. This enclosure is very easy to assemble, arrived in great condition due to it being packaged correctly, and is beautiful to look at. Originally, it was a bit of a struggle to get it to hold humidity high enough for a ball python, but after covering a good portion of the screen top, that is not an issue at all. He sheds in once piece and has a healthy digestive system. :) For use with other critters, their variety of sizes is wonderful. I have 2 different sizes because both of my snakes are different ages (one is fully grown, the other is about half the size he'll get), and I can say that the quality between the two is consistent. This enclosure would work great for bearded dragons and other types of snakes (so long as they're not bigger than ball pythons because then you shouldn't use glass enclosures). It has a water level mark, but I haven't had a reason to test it out. Not sure if I would recommend using it for turtles or other aquatic reptiles that need to swim. (It's only a few inches deep in the two I have.) Reptiles that like to soak though, it would be ideal. Another important factor is that it's very easy to clean. Both doors open fully, giving you full access to the inside. The screen top can also come off if needed, but is very secure when on. It has 4 tabs that lock in place, which would be enough to keep the craftier pets inside, but also has 2 locking tabs that ensure it won't go anywhere. There are also ports for wires and cables at each corner, which I use for temperature and humidity probes, as well as the thermostat probe. These access ports are covered with a plastic tab that locks in place that you can remove for wires, so you don't have to worry about anything slipping out through them. Lastly, the bottom is slightly lifted to you can slide under tank heaters beneath them without having to lift the entire thing. This is a wonderful feature because the enclosure is quite heavy once it is assembled. I cannot recommend these enclosures enough.

Fantastic enclosure for bearded dragon
We ordered this tank to house my son's now one year old bearded dragon. The package arrived two days earlier than expected. It's very heavy, UPS driver was unable to bring it up, thankfully husband and son were home! The tank was extremely easy to assemble, we had no trouble fitting the pieces together. We did slightly disassemble to install the background and sides. They are permanently installed, this part was a bit tricky, but worked out really well. I applied wood grain contact paper to the sides to hide the unsightly silicone and backside of the installed walls. The walls we installed are from Custom Reptile Habitats, and the bioactive setup is from Bio Dude. We also have live plants and a clean up crew (isopods and springtails). The whole setup is well self cleaning with minimal upkeep. My son's little buddy loves it! This tank is the perfect setup to accept these additions. I love the light setup installed below the screen, it makes for a great streamlined look. We only have a grow light on top for the plants. My only issue with the tank is that the lock on the doors doesn't really work. It's quite hard to turn the lock. I'm afraid the key will snap, or the lock mechanism will chip or crack the glass. I didn't think it would matter, but this little critter has managed to slide the door open twice in two days. Once when he was eager about the dubias he was about to get, and once at some point between lights out and the morning. My husband came into the room early and freaked out because the door was open a few inches. Thankfully the little dragon was still inside, and had not decided to take a tour of the house! Also, the suction cups are pretty cheap and don't stay on well for door 'handles' or we would just use one of those at the door seam at night to keep it secure. I will be purchasing a set of lever suction cups for this purpose. Hopefully that will work. Overall, I think this is a really well made tank. Not inexpensive, but it will house this dragon for his life. So we validate the expense in that way.

Well worth the money!
Backstory- (We use this for gerbils but are looking into purchasing other sizes for our dart frogs and our gecko) We had originally been using a 50 gallon aquarium for our gerbils. Being 5’2 I struggled to interact with the boys and even clean their tank without using a ladder and nearly climbing inside of the tank. So I began my mission to find an easier enclosure for us to use. We have several exo terra tanks with front swinging doors for our other four legged children, but the front ventilation strip is made of plastic which our boys would destroy so we started looking for other alternatives. Review- This enclosure was exactly what we were looking for and arrived in perfect condition! We purchased the 36x18x36 enclosure for the same price as a tank half the height at our local pet shop; so price wise it is well worth the money. I was very impressed with the quality and attention to detail of the tank. Had we discovered these tanks when we were getting our home ready for the arrival of our dart frogs and gecko we definitely would have purchased another size for them, which brings me to one of my biggest “complaints”. These tanks sell our incredibly fast and don’t seem to be in stock often, particularly in the smaller sizes. The base of the tank arrives already put together for you and features a black glass bottom and allows you to put several inches of water, or in our case bedding. One thing I will say about this tank is it is rather heavy, which for me is a major plus since I do have a dog who likes to put her paws up and watch the gerbils running and now I don’t have to worry about her knocking it over. But just keep the weight in mind when you are putting it together and though I put it together myself if possible I would recommend and extra set of hands to make life alittle easier. Once you have the base where you want it is fairly simple to construct. The rods screw into the base, you slide the track for the glass down over the rods, slide the glass in, and then line up the top mesh and screw it in then you are done. (The shelves you see in the final picture we added ourselves to give the boys more space and are not included.) The lock on the front is nice and the key does come attached to a suction cup so you can keep it close by. This tank was made wonderfully and is a great addition to our home. We highly recommend them and our actually keeping our eyes out for other sizes.

Terrerium 18x24x36
Love it great size, and great price. The terrerium came in pieces the base comes as one and the side walls and top have to be put together. Assembly was supper easy. Our only problem was 2 glass pieces were cracked despite the protective layers. Contacted the company and they promptly send replacement no problem. Overall very happy with this product. Would definitely buy again. Our created getco loves is too.
