Tough, little 1/4 liter V twin.
Don't know where name dropping Honda comes into play as Yamaha has been licensing this engine from Lifan since the late '80's and is used on the XV250. First, on the Route 66 in 1988, then the Virago 250 and is still sold as the Star 250. It is a bulletproof engine that has proven itself time, and time, again over the years and from what I can see it hasn't changed a bit in over 25 years. Has a flat, wide torque band for what it is.
