I did a lot of research before choosing this exact camera. So far it does just what it is supposed to do and does it well. Good image, easy to use. You have to buy a SD memory card for the camera, I bought the Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card and it works fine. The card slides right in.The camera I received seems to be the real thing and that is what I wanted. I STRONGLY recommend that you check out review websites for this product so you will be sure to buy the real camera and not a knockoff. There are lots of variations on this camera, same case and very different guts. There are some good websites that discuss this camera, similar cameras and inferior knockoffs that sell for less than $20. (I bought the "identical" model from Top Dawg, it was wired differently, it ran for 2 weeks then stopped dead.) Also look on YouTube for helpful videos showing how to operate the camera's menu. It took me a while to figure out how to view recorded files on the camera. Plan to spend some time learning the menu commands. The included instructions are typically awful.Be sure to moisten the glass attachment pad and clean the windshield before you attach it. Also take off the little protective plastic tab from the lens, I think one buyer forgot to do that, it makes the image blurry.I run the camera plugged into my power outlet, run the cable over the visor, down the side of the door. The camera turns on when you start the car. (I take the camera down each time I don't plan to drive for a few days because the car gets hot.)I will update this review when I have had the camera for a few months. So far so good.UPDATE: This camera ran every day perfectly for almost a year and then stopped working. I pulled the battery, hooked it back up and it worked. I bought a new charger, didn't work, then I replaced the off-brand battery it came with and plugged it in and that worked. It is back to working again. FYI if it stops working try a new battery, it costs about $6. You can replace the power cable for about $12.

This Dash Cam works awesome - however it won't take the intense summer heat of Phoenix Arizona, the casing melted. I have purchased eight (8) of these cameras [for gifts] and one (1) of them just wouldn't power up after only using it for only 2 weeks, 'in cool weather'. I wrote the company through Amazon and they wrote me back saying, "just take it to a local camera store in Phoenix to get it fixed". WTF ! Also, on one (1) of them the cigarette lighter plug came apart on it's own, the little red LED popped out and all the wires with it. I had to glue it back together to make it work again. I'll never buy one of these DVR027 cameras ever again ! My daughter and a friend has since bought a similar Dash Cam that looks just like this one for only $15.00 on Amazon. For that price if something goes wrong with it - I don't care. I'll just buy another one.

Works as advertised. I installed a 32GB card, and I am impressed both the audio and video recording capability. I had an unfortunate situation when a lady, anxious to get to a local event, stepped off the sidewalk into the path of my vehicle. I stuck her, and fortunately she was only slightly bruised. After long conversations with four police officers and a deputy Sheriff, I vowed to always have dash cam in operation whilst driving. I recommend this unit without reservation.

Surprisingly the video quality is very good especially considering the price. The mount is not the best. Had some trouble getting it to stick to the windshield.

This is a really nice camera, the screen can be turned towards the driver. the only that that I do not like that the screen is always on and does not go off after a set period of time. The video is excellent and so far, no problems. Buy this camera. It is the real deal.
