"Birken Tree" is the first IONA release of the 3rd Millennium. It is a stunning blend of Celtic traditions - Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Manx, Cornish, Breton, Asturian and from the American Celts of Appalachia. The songs (many in their Celtic languages) and dance tunes are woven together with high energy percussion, world class piping and even some bombardes. With all traditional material in fresh, original arrangements, this is Pan-Celtic music at its best. Without a doubt this is IONA's finest offering. Review: よく確認すればよかったのですが、てっきりアイルランドのシンフォニックなIONAだと思って購入してしまいました。でも、これは２０００年に発表された、米国？のceltic bouzouki、mandolinなどを演奏して、アコースティックなケルト音楽をやるバンドのCDでした。思いっきりトラッドです。とても勉強になりました。（米国のIONAファンの方からみればとんでもないレビューですみません。）
